Vellum Butterfly Birthday - Challenge 178 LNS

Summer arrived this week, and that means all sorts of insects, bugs, etc have arrived as well.  So in honour of this, challenge 178 is to add an insect to a card or project.
As has been very popular this week, I have also incorporated butterflies to my card.

Beautiful Wings Wedding Card - Challenge 175

Here comes the bride.  This week the challenge with the Late Night Stamper's group focuses on love and marriage i.e. make a wedding, anniversary, bridal shower, or just plain love of my life card.
I have chosen to make a wedding card.
This  card I cased from a card I saw on Pinterest done by Glenda Mollett here .All the butterflies intrigued me. I changed the color of the 2nd layer and the sentiment, otherwise the card is the same.

This is a 5 by 5" square card.  The base is Whisper White, followed by a Pool Party layer.  The butterflies are from the Beautiful Wings Embosslit.

Thank You With All My Heart - Unscripted Sketches #158

The weather was a bit cooler in Southern Ontario today - which was a bit of a shocker when I left the house this morning!  I fully anticipated that it would be as warm as it was yesterday, but a cold front moved in mid morning and cooled everything down.

This is a card was done for the sketch challenge with Unscripted Sketches here, which was perfect for featuring retiring designer paper.  I made a few alterations in the sketch, using ribbon to divide the paper rather than cutting the paper, and placing the upper embellishments in a vertical rather than horizontal alignment.

The flowers were stamped with Poppy Parade ink and embossed twice with clear embossing powder.  The images were then punched with the 3/4" punch and placed on top of a 3/4" square of Whisper White paper using a dimensional.

Mixed Bunch Thanks - Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Challenge 215

Finally I'm pain free enough to sit at my desk to make some cards!  My mind wanted to create, but my body refused to comply.
This  card is for the Technostamper challenge here  I needed some thank you cards because so many people have wished me well, visited me and have given me gifts that my supply of Thank You cards  has seriously been compromised!

Silver and White Beautiful Wings - Create with Connie & Mary Color Challenge 181

I don't usually make New Year's Day cards, but the color combination with the color challenge with Create with Connie & Mary here- Silver Glimmer and Whisper White -was perfect for this.

 

When I first that the colors were Silver Glimmer and Whisper White, my first thought was Christmas, but I'm finished designing and making Christmas cards, so I was initially stumped.  So, I let the colors sit with me for a while, and then I began to picture butterflies shimmering in the moonlight and my card was born. Connie gave me the idea of making a New Year's Day card. Thanks Connie

Snowflake Easel Card- The Friday Mashup

The challenge this week with the Friday Mashup is to make an easel card with snowflakes on it.

Papers: Pacific Point, Whisper White, Silver Glimmer Paper, Red Glimmer Paper
Accessories: Snowflake die, Snowflake punch, Iridescent Ice Embossing powder, Pearls, 5/8" whisper white organza ribbon, Beautiful wings die, Beautiful wings emboslitt, Eyelet border punch

 

 The above shows the easel card closed.

To make the background, I randomly stamped the various size snowflakes from the Snow Swirled stamp set using Whisper White ink onto Pacific Point card stock.  When the ink was dry, I covered the entire surface with Versa Mark, covered it with Iridescent ice embossing powder and set with the embossing tool.
A butterfly was added because as the challenge said:  " A Snowflake is Winter's Butterfly"
