Pretty Kitty - a collage - and Ticket border punch

This cute kitten stamp set made it into the new catalogue. The images are even cuter in this collage card I made.

I stamped the images of Pretty Kitty in the various areas of the collage stamp using post it notes as a mask.
They were colored with ink pads and a blender pen using the following colors:  Smoky Slate, Sweet Sugarplum, Pink Pirouette, Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz, Cajun Craze.

Strips of punched Sweet Sugar plum card stock were added around the art piece, and then it was mounted onto a Basic Gray card stock Base.

Belle & Friends Tulle Window Card

Using Tulle instead of window sheets to make both window and shaker cards was inspired by watching some videos by Jennifer McGuire.
It was actually quite easy to use tulle, which I was able to obtain rather inexpensively.  I will also be using the tulle to wrap and decorate packages for my craft shows, so this is just one more idea for this product.
For today's purpose I used plain white tulle, although there is tulle which has glitter embedded in it.

A 4 by 5 1/4" piece of Crumb Cake card stock was temporarily adhered to a 4 1/4 by 11" Very Vanilla base.  The square stitched framelit was used to die cut an opening in the two layers.

A piece of tulle was cut slightly larger than the opening of the window.

The two layers were separated, and tear & tape adhesive was applied around the openings and edges on the wrong side of the Crumb Cake piece only. After removing all the tape covers, the tulle was added over the opening, making sure there was no slack in the tulle.

This crumb cake layer is now added to the card front.

The images from "Belle & Friends" were stamped on White Glimmer Paper and colored with ink pads and a Clear Wink of Stella brush.  This gives such a lovely glitter effect.

They were fussy cut, and I mean fussy cut!!  I had surgery to my right thumb a week ago,  and I have a difficult time holding scissors.  I managed, but some of the edges are a bit rough.  I stamped and cut out a second set of images to place on the other side of the tulle. These were not colored.

The clouds were stamped using the "Lift Me Up" stamp set and die cut using the coordinating stamp set. A second set of clouds were die cut without stamping as well.

After applying adhesive to the back of each image, they were attached to the tulle window as shown in the card.  The uncoloured images and clouds were adhered on the other side of the tulle so that they would not stick to the inside of the card. Below is a close up of the tulle window.  The images look like they are floating!

The sentiment, from "Pretty Kitty" was embossed with white embossing powder.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Belle & Friend, Pretty Kitty, Up in the Air
Inks: Black Memento, Basic Gray, Crumb Cake, Real Red, Bermuda Bay, Crushed Curry, Versa Mark
Papers: Very Vanilla, Crumb Cake, White Shimmer
Accessories: Stitched square framelits, white embossing powder, tulle (white) non SU. Up and Away Thinlet dies.

This window card can be made using Window Sheet as well.

Red Explosion Purse with Red Flower - Inkspiration Challenge #112 - Anything Goes with Red

I made a few explosion purses for my recent craft shows and they were popular especially with the  girls.
The challenge with Inkspiration #112 - was anything goes - with red.

So, I  make another purse, a red one this time, and I decorated it with a red poinsettia.  I thought I would get ahead of myself for Christmas.
I used the tutorial with Splitcoaststampers

Below is the front view of the purse.  I used a 12 by 12" piece of red polka dot DSP (retired), with Real Red cardstock for the lid and handle.

  •  This is the side view of the purse.  It is held closed with 2 small round pieces of self-adhesive velcro.

  •  The purse opens to reveal quite a large area which can have pictures applied to, or journalling done, or a small toy or some candy can be placed inside.
Inside was placed an insert with the image of a cute kitten at the bottom.  A tab, at the top, made using the Decorative Label punch makes the insert easy to grab. Note:  even the kitten has a red ribbon.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Pretty Kitty
Inks:Black Memento, Smoky Slate, Real Red
Papers: Real Red cardstock, Always Artichoke, Red Polka Dot DSP (retired)
Accessories: Scoring tool, bone folder, strong adhesive, velcro, rhinestone, home made shimmer spray, Flower Builder punch, blender pen, Decorative Label Punch

Can you tell I'm a cat person?
Here's another card made using the Pretty Kitty stamp set.

  • Layering circle framelits were used to die cut the image, and the image matt.  The two were adhered to one another using dimensionals.
  • The base card of Sahara Sand is layered with Whisper white which was embossed with the sparkle embossing folder.  In the top half some retired DSP (Cherry on Top) was attached, and a piece of 1/2" Very Vanilla lace trim applied along the seam.
  • The sentiment was punched out using the Ticket builder punch.

Just Peeking in to Say Hello

I'm on a kitty roll, and for this card I combined the Pretty Kitties with the window framelit.

  • The pretty kitty was stamped with Black Memento and coloured with a blender pen and ink pads.  The sky was created by sponging over a scallop circle and Marina Mist ink.
  • The finished art piece was placed behind a die cut hearth and home window frame that had a yellow flower decorating the outside. The old olive leaves were punched with the now retured Bird Builder punch.
The bard base is crumb cake cardstock, layerd with Whisper White stamped with a Timeless Texture stamp.  Over the left half a piece of crumb cake DSP was adhered, and some chevron ribbon (retired) hides the seam.

The Washi tape punch was used to punch out the sentiment.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Pretty Kitties, Timeless Texture
Inks: Black Memento, Marina Mist, Smoky Slate, Flirty Flamingo, Crushed Currie, Old Olive, Crumb Cake
Papers:Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Crumb Cake DSP, Crushed Currie, Old Olive
Accessories: Window Frame die, Petite Flower punch, Bird Builder punch (retired), Washi Tape punch, Chevron ribbon, Blender Pen

Pretty Pretty Twinchies - Paper Pal Arts #$306

Aren't the kittens in the "Pretty Kitten" stamp set cute?  Of course, I'm partial to cats because I have one and he's the love of my life.
But, although they are lovable, they also get in a lot of mischief - that's why I named mine "Mischief"

For the sketch challenge with  I decided to use this stamp set, and to make the squares on the sketch into twinchies.  I had recently done a swap with twinchies and I really loved making them.  This card sketch is ideal for them.

PPA-306-June23

  • A different kitten was stamped using Black Memento ink onto a 2" Whisper White square matted with a slightly larger scalloped Basic Black square.square. Before matting, each square was sponged with Night of navy ink.
  • The kittens were coloured with a blender pen and ink pads - one kitten was white, one orange, and one gray.
  • The twinchies were decorated with a Bitty butterfly punched out of Playful Palette DSP.  Rhinestones were added to the body; dazzling details to the wings.  Each twinchie had the butterfly adhered in a different location. To add more bling, a silver sequin was added, and then 3 tiny flowers, punched using Flirty Flamingo and Sweet Sugarplum cardstock were adhered with a glue dot.  The petal edges were curled up after which arhinestone was adhered to the middle.
  •  Some Wink of Stella clear glitter was added randomly.
The decorated twinchies were adhered to the card base DSP using dimensionals.
The card base is Basic Black cardstock, layered with Whisper White, then Playful Palette DSP stack.
