Bleaching Technique - Card 2 - Feeling Sentimental

I've been continuing to experiment with bleach stamping and have learned a few things.  First of all, don't be generous with the bleach.  After applying bleach to the stamp, stamp off a few times and then stamp the final image.  You'll get more detail that way. Secondly, use the stamp-a-ma-jig to overstamp the bleached image.
Here's the second card for class:

This time I bleach stamped the image onto Cajun Craze cardstock and over stamped with Black Stazon ink.  I then die cut the image with the Oval framelit and mounted it onto a black windows framelit.  The designer paper is from the spring catalogue - Parker's DSP, and the sentiment is from a retired stamp set "Happy Greetings"

Stamps: Feeling Sentimental, Happy Greetings (retired), Itty Bitties
Inks: Black Stazon, Cajun Craze
Papers: Basic Black, Whisper White, Parker's DSP, Cajun Craze
Accessories: Chevron folder, Bleach, Black dotted scalloped ribbon, silver soda pop tops, Windows framelit, Oval framelit, large pearls, dimensionals

Apothecary Art Happiest Birthday

Are you ready for Santa Claus?   Hope all your shopping (and baking) is almost done and you can put your feet up tonight.
I miss the snow we usually have for Christmas, plus going to the mall and soaking up the Yuletide atmosphere.  This year, because of foot surgery and a painful knee (having knee replacement surgery in March) I have been unable to get to the stores.  All my presents this year have been hand made, which is not so bad I suppose.  Reminds me of when I was a kid and that's all we could afford to do.
Todays card gives you a sneak peak of the stamps and products in the new mini catalogue.  It is a partial case from a card in the Stampin Up Success magazine.

Stamp: Apothecary Art,
Inks: Black Stazon, Basic Black, SU Markers
Papers: Marina Mist, Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Marina Mist designer paper
Accessories: Adorning Accents Embossing folder, 3/8" Blushing Bride pleated satin ribbon, 3/8" Victoria Lace crochet cotton, Labels collection framelits, Large pearls, Aqua painter, Subtles button, Linen thread, Dazzling details, Scallop border punch, dimensionals, glue dots.

Doily Wedding Card

The Large Sizzlits Paper Doily Die did give me a bit of trouble cutting completely through, and then punching out all the little bitswas a bit bothersome, but the effort was well worth it.
This is a wedding card, but it could just as well be an Anniversary card.
It is made using the products from the New Occasions mini catalogue.  If you are not a demonstrator you have to wait until Jan 2 before you can order any of these products.

The card base is Very Vanilla.
After die cutting the doily using Very Vanilla card stock, I applied champagne shimmer paint using a finger dauber.  Did that ever make the doily pop!! The sentiment was stamped in Basic Black, punch out with the 2 1/2" circle punch and the edges stenciled with Crumb Cake ink.  It was applied to the middle of the Doily using dimensionals and 3 of the large pearls were attached above the sentiment.  A crumb cake ribbon completed the sentiment circle.
Using the Adorning Accents Embossing folder, the bottom edge of the card. was embossed.  Love it!
A 3/8" Crumb Cake taffeta ribbon was attached to the card just above the embossed edge.
The Doily was then attached to the front of the card.

The picture of the card does not do it justice.

Stamp: Hand-Penned Holidays
Inks: Basic black, Crumb Cake
Papers: Very Vanilla
Accessories: Paper Doily die, Adorning accents embossing folder, Large pearls, Champagne shimmer paint, 3/8" Crumb Cake taffeta ribbon, dimensionals, glue dot.
