Christmas Barn & Dies - A Moonlight sleigh ride - a tutorial

Once again I challenged myself to create at least 3 different cards using the Christmas Barn and its coordinating dies.

For the first card, I used the new masking papers and the blender brushes to create this night scene.  Anyone for a sleigh ride?

The top fold A2 card base is Night of Navy cardstock, layered with Basic White card stock. The scene is created on a 3 3/4 by 5" piece of Basic white card stock.

1. Use a 1 1/4" circle punch to punch a circle out of masking paper, and adhere the masking paper to the upper right of the art piece.  This will become the moon.
2.  Using a blender brush, apply the following shades of blue to the upper 2/3rds of the art piece:  Pool Party, Balmy Blue, Pacific Point, Orchid Oasis and Night of Navy.  Lightly apply some Pool Party to the lower 1/3.
3.  Stamp the trees using Orchid Oasis ink, stamping off to create depth and distance.
4.  Stamp the horse and sleigh using Black Memento ink, and colour with an Orchid Oasis stamp'n blend.  Add some more shadow marks under the horse and sleigh.
5.  Remove the mask from over the moon and with a finger dauber, lightly add some Daffodil Delight around the edges of the moon and into the night sky.
6.  Using the star dies, die cut some stars .
7.  Adhere a strip of silver foil behind the art piece to make the stars shine.
8.  Stamp the sentiment using Night of Navy ink.
9.  Add puff paint to the fore ground and around the horse and sleigh.  Add dazzling diamonds to this wet paint and then heat with a heat tool until paint puffs up.
10.  Adhere art piece of a 4 by 5 1/4" piece of Basic White card stock
