I am learning how to use the double sided stamps focusing on the stamp set "Mountain Air". So far I have not been impressed but I am keeping an open mind.
This card came together quite quickly and I used basically 2 colours of ink - Basic Gray and Mossy Meadow - with a touch of So Saffron.
The only place I used the reverse side of the stamp is with the clouds.
The sun was stamped (in So Saffron) first to make sure I had room to stamp the mountains.. Then some clouds were added using the reverse side of the cloud stamp.
The mountains were stamped in Basic Gray with second generation stamping done to create the distant hills. Mossy green was used to stamp the tree line and the taller trees on either side.
I found it interesting that the mountain base had notches in it that matched the tree tops nicely.
Some birds were added to the sky - a cluster near the sun and another one towards the far side of the image piece.
All it needed now is a sentiment.
The image piece was then die cut using the rectangle stitched die, A frame in Mossy Meadow card stock, made with 2 sizes of the same rectangle stitched die was added and then the art piece was added to a Thick Whisper White card stock base.
