Grace's Garden

Spring seems so far away and another snow storm is expected this weekend.

Yesterday was a very stressful day for me so it was nice to sit down and create a serene card.

After waiting close to a year, my eldest son had fusion of 2 vertebrae in his neck, as well as enlargement of  the spinal canal.  This condition is an inherited condition and is  rare in a young man.
I worried because I know too much having worked in the medical field for over 30 years.  My worry stems from the fact that although this is major surgery, he was discharged less than 24 hours later.  Then he faced an hour and a half ride home, a ride I knew was going to be very uncomfortable.  I tried to talk them into staying near the hospital one more day but no one listens to their mother.

Here's the card I created using "Grace's Garden"

Don't you just love the little pussy cat sitting in the garden looking at the Robin?

The images were all stamped on a separate piece of Whisper White card stock, coloured with Stampin' Blends and die cut using the Garden Gate dies.

I love the "friendship" sentiment, which I stamped using Rich Razzelberry ink approximately in the center of a 3 3/4 by 5 piece of Whisper White.  The flower clusters were added to each side of the sentiment, with a smaller cluster in between.

A robin was added perched on the top of one cluster and near the ground on the smaller one - obviously teasing the cat.

Some rhinestones from the Noble Peacock collection completed the scene.

Before adding this scene to the Thick Whisper White card base it was matted with Gorgeous Grape card stock.
