Water Color Wings Note Card and Envelope

This is my last card using the Water Color Wings stamp set and coordinating framelits.
In this card I wanted to show case the retirement of two more ink colours.  The note cards and envelopes are being carried forward.

The two colours that are retiring are:  Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant - and that includes the inks, card stock and DSP.

For the note card I stamped the smaller butterfly on a separate piece of Whisper White card stock using Wisteria Wonder and Elegant Eggplant as my colours.  The floral image from Wood Words, stamped in Wisteria Wonder provided the background for the butterfly.  This same image was stamped on the envelope flap. The butterfly was then die cut using the Bold Butterfly framelit.

Here's a close up and side view of the butterfly.

The flower in the center was fussy cut from the background image that I had stamped on a separate piece of paper and adhered to the butterfly with a small dimensional.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Water Color Wings, Wood Words
Inks:  Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant
Papers:  Whisper White Note card and envelope, Whisper White, Elegant Eggplant, Wisteria Wonder.
Accessories:  Bold Butterfly Framelits, small dimensional.Stamparatus

Z-fold Christmas Tree Farm

It won't be long before Christmas trees will be for sale at various venues.  When the temperature is 30 degrees C outside,(like it is today), it's hard to imagine this but time flies by quickly....
In making this card, I "married" 3 different stamp sets and their coordinating framelits/dies - Wood Words, Santa's Sleigh, and Christmas Carols.

The base is a 5 1/2 by  10 1/2" piece of  Garden Green card stock scored at 5 1/2 and 2 3/4" for form a  Z fold card. Two patterns of Be Merry DSP is adhered to this base.
On the front piece I stamped 2 reindeer with Soft Suede ink onto Crumb Cake card stock and then die cut them.  They were adhered to an oval dazzling diamond glimmer paper matted with  a scallop oval of Garden Green card stock.  One of the deer has a wreath around its neck.

Tucked inn the center is an inward collapsible crate that I die cut using Wood Grain DSP.  I placed an insert inside the crate to provide increased stability and to attach the trees to.  The sentiment and the Garden Green star on the crate are  from the Wood Words  stamp set.  They were both stamped in Garden Green ink- the sentiment was punched with the 1 1/4" circle punch, and matted with a 1 3/8" Cherry Cobbler circle; the star was die cut....both were adhered with dimensionals.

In order to make the crate collapsible I removed the bottoms of both crate halves prior to assembling them.. See the picture below. You can also see the insert I placed inside the crate.

At the top of the card, I placed a 1 1/4" band with DSP added to it.  It was also scored at 5 1/2 and 2 3/4" .  You can see that in the picture below. The Christmas sentiment was added to this band.

I added some die cut trees (large and small), to the insert in the crate as well as to the back of the card and front of the crate. Some were die cut in Garden Green, and some in Dazzling Diamond  glimmer paper.  Both Santa's Sleigh framelits as well as the  Front Builder Framelits were used to die cut the trees.

The picture below shows the card closed. But because the finished card is larger, I made an envelope using the envelope punch board.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Santa Sleigh, Wood words, Christmas Carols
Inks:  Garden Green, Soft Suede, Black Memento
Papers:  Garden Green, Be Merry DSP, Wood crate DSP, Whisper White, Cherry Cobbler, Dazzling Diamond Glimmer paper, Crumb Cake
Accessories:  Santa's Sleight Framelit dies, Wood crate framelit dies, Cards front builder framelits, 1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, Itty Bitty star punch, Layering Oval Framelits, dimensionals

Wobbly Thank You - Try Stampin' on Tuesday or not #329

This week's sketch by Donna on Try Stampin' on Tuesday or Not, has an optional theme of "Dainty and Nice".  I chose not to use that theme as I was working with the Wood Crate stamp set and framelits and carried it over onto this week's card.

I started with a Soft Suede base and layered it with Whisper White upon which I stamped one of the images from the Wood Words stamp set in Crushed Curry.  On the left and slightly overlapping the stamped image is a strip of textured DSP (retired SU) with some 1/8" copper trim adhered over the seam.
Before adding this strip, I die cut one of the wooden crates from the coordinating framelits and trimmed it to fit on the lower part of the card.

The focal image is a wobbler die cut rooster adding a thank you in his own words.

Accessories:
Stamp:  Wood Words
Inks: Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Crushed Curry
Papers:  Soft Suede, Whisper White, Wood Texture DSP, Textile DSP (R)
Accessories:  Wood Crate framelits, small wobble, 1/8" copper trim, small oval punch

Now its your turn to create something  using Donna's sketch and you have 2 weeks to do so.  Don't forget to upload your work to the Try Stampin' on Tuesday blog or to the Facebook site
