Bloomin' Marvelous Birthday - Friday Mashup #93 & Fab Friday #10

For this card I thought I would combine 2 challenges in one - The Friday Mashup here and Fab Friday here
It's Holly's birthday week on the Friday Mashup, and she likes lots of brads on her card.  I used the colors from the color challenge at Fab Friday to make Holly's birthday card.

The base card is Pink Pirouette, layered with Crumb Cake cardstock embossed with the Honeycomb folder.  Three brads were inserted in the upper right portion.

The image panel was made by randomly stamping images from the SAB stamp set Bloomin' Marvelous in Cherry cobbler, Pool Party, Pink Pirouette, Crumb Cake on Very Vanilla cardstock.  Brads were inserted into the middle of 2 of the flowers, and tiny pearls in the eyes of the hummingbird.  This panel was matted with Pink Pirouette card stock.

The sentiment was stamped with Cherry Cobbler on Very Vanilla card stock and die cut using the Apothecary accent framelit.  Then, using the mat pack and paper piercer, this die cut was pierced all the way around.  Brads were inserted in both ends, and a row of pearls along the bottom of the words.  It was attached to the card using dimensionals.

The butterfly was made by stamping the small butterfly with pool party and punched with the tiny butterfly punch - then layered onto a butterfly punched with the larger butterfly punch.  Some pearls were placed on the body and the wings flipped up. It was attached to the lower right portion of the card using glue dots.

Stamp: Bloomin' Marvelous (SAB)
Inks: Cherry Cobbler, Pink Pirouette, Pool Party, Crumb Cake
Papers: Pink Pirouette, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Pool Party
Accessories: Honeycomb folder, 1/8" silver brads, Mat pack & Paper piercer, Apothecary Accents framelits, Butterfly punch, Small butterfly punch, Pearls, dimensionals, glue dots

Cascading Hearts - The Friday Mashup #91

This week's challenge with the Friday Mashup here was a sketch challenge which we were to mash up with hearts.  To make the card, I used the color challenge with Pal Paper Arts here.  The colors:  Melon Mambo, Basic Black, and Basic Gray.
I took a few liberties with the sketch, making the focal panel a bit larger, and the embellishment (heart) is at the opposite end of the card.

Blooming with Kindness - Thank You - Friday Mashup 89

The "Mashup" challenge this week here is to make a clean and simple layout using Heat Embossing.
Here is my card:

The image was stamped with Versa Mark, and heat embossed with white embossing powder.  Since this was done on Whisper White cardstock, some sponging was done on top of and around the embossed image so that the image could be seen (emboss resist)
The sentiment was stamped directly onto the single layer and a few rhinestones were used as embellishments.

Stamp: Blooming with Kindness
Ink: Versa Mark, Pretty in Pink, Lucky Limeade, Black Stazon
Papers: Pretty in Pink, Whisper White
Accessories: White embossing powder, rhinestones

3D Ornament Merry Christmas - The Friday Mashup #89

I love cats, and the sketch with the Friday Mashup here did look like the face of a cat. However, I did not make a cat card, but a card with a 3D ornament on it.  The ornament lays flat for mailing. The challenge this week is to make a card using the sketch, and to add bling, lots of bling (lots of bling is my thing)
Here's my card:

Close up of 3D ornament showing the bling.

First I stamped 3 images of an ornament from the Delightful Decorations stamp set using Cherry Cobbler, punched them out using the Ornament punch, and then applied dazzling diamonds to their edges. Each ornament was folded in half with the stamped side to the inside.  Then they were glued together using tombo glue.
A Whisper White label was die cut using the Labels Framelit, and the edges sponged with Cherry Cobbler.
Using the template left after punching out the ornaments, I lightly daubed Cherry Cobbler with a dauber above and below where my ornament would be hung - on the died cut label.  I then daubed Frost White shimmer paint on each of these ornament - to make it look like they were hanging in the distance (ghost ornaments). Some dazzling details was used in lieu of  Baker's twine. The 3D ornament was attached to the top half of the label - a piece of white Baker's twine emerging from the top of the ornament and taped to the back of the label
Some cherry cobbler baker's twine was wrapped 3 times around the bottom half of the label, and the sentiment, punched with the 1 3/4 by 7/8" oval punch, was attached to the middle of this with dimensionals.
A bow made with Cherry Cobbler seam binding was attached below the sentiment.
Using dimensionals, the decorated label was attached to the designer paper with a strip of silver glimmer paper at the top.
Here's where I added the bling:
1.  A strip of silver glimmer paper at the top of the card
2.  Dazzling diamonds on the edges of each of the ornaments
3.  Dazzling details instead of Baker's twine on the "ghost" ornaments
4.  Frost white shimmer paint on the "ghost" ornaments

Stamps: Delightful Decorations, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Inks: Cherry Cobbler, Black Stazon
Papers: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Snow Festival DSP, Silver Glimmer paper
Accessories: Labels Framelits, Ornament Punch, 1 3/4 by 7/8" oval punch, Cherry Cobbler seam binding, Cherry Cobbler Baker's twine, Frost White shimmer paint, dazzling details, dazzling diamonds, dimensionals.

Cherish the Moments -a baby card for The Friday Mashup 83

One of my clients asked me to make her a baby girl card, done all in pink.  I used the sketch challenge with the Friday Mashup here to comply with her request. She did not wish to have a sentiment on the front of the card.

Technique
The entire card is constructed in shades of Pretty in Pink and Whisper White.
The Pretty in Pink base is layered with Whisper White, which in turn is layered with designer paper that has been double embossed.  The designer paper from the Paper Pack was first embossed with the Lacy Brocade folder which had been  inked with Versa mark and run through the Big shot.  White embossing powder was sprinkled on the embossed DSP and set with an embossing tool. (Note: the embossing folder should be washed with water as soon as possible).  This double embossed DSP was cut slightly smaller and cut into 4 pieces.
The focal image was stamped with Pretty in Pink ink and matted with Pretty in Pink card stock.
Rosette:
A 12" piece of DSP was cut to 1/2" and scored at 1/2" intervals using the Simply Score tool and made into a rosette.  A pink button was attached to the top of the rosette, and then a piece of White Baker's twine made into a bow.  The rosette was attached to the lower left focal image.

Stamp: Baby Prints
Inks: Pretty in Pink, Versa Mark
Papers: Pretty in Pink, Whisper White, Pretty in Pink DSP
Accessories: Simply Scored, Lacy Brocade folder, White embossing powder, Pink Button, White Baker's Twine, pearls.

It's been a cold rainy day so perfect to catch up on challenges.  This card is based on the sketch challenge with The Friday Mashup  76  here.
The Mashup challenge this week is to make a project with the sketch, or make a project using the Starburst Technique, or "Mash it Up" and create a project using the Sketch and the Starburst Technique.
I chose to do the latter - make a card using the sketch and the Starburst Technique.
I used a tutorial provided by The Mashup here
