Vellum Background with Stampin Blends and Alcohol - with Video

 This technique has made a revival.  It was quite popular a few years ago and has made a come back and is taking today's craft world by storm.  There are numerous Pinterest and blog posts re this technique and my video today will join them.

Once I heard about this technique I made quite a few backgrounds, using various colour combinations, and today I made a video.

In the video I used the following colour combinations:  Fresh Fressia, Soft Succulent, Polished Pink, and Pale Papaya to demonstrate how to apply these Stampin blends with 91% alcohol to a piece of Vellum.  After the treated vellum dried, I demonstrated how to adhered the Vellum to a piece of Basic White card stock using an adhesive sheet. In lieu of an adhesive sheet, Tombo glue can be used, applying it with a sponge.

Retiring Colours One Sheet Wonder and a Card - and a video

 I always hate to say good bye!  The colours that are retiring this year I have used for the last 2 years - and fallen in love with them.

But, as the saying goes "All good things must come to an end" (Who said that anyway?). The following 5 colours are retiring, along with stamp sets, Designer Papers, Dies, Punches, and so much more.  Room needs to made for brand new items in the new Annual catalogue which goes live May 5, 2021 (a month early)

So, today's post will be part of a farewell tour.  To start the tour I used all retiring colours and made a "One Sheet Wonder", and using that will make some cards.

In the video I also show how to use the blender brush to add colour to the "white" space.
