Sparkly Wreath - Hand Stamped Sentiments #328

Challenge #328 at Hand Stamped Sentiments is an Inspirational Challenge.  I always love doing these but they're not always easy.  There is a wide variety of interpretations and it took me a while to settle in on one of them. I settled on the wreath, but I wanted to incorporate elements from the other parts of the picture as well.

  • An 8 1/2 by 5  1/2" Call Me Glover base card is folded at the 4 1/4" score line  to form an A2 card.
  • Emboss a piece of Whisper White with the Many Petal s Embossing folder.

  • Three trees are punched from the Wrapped in Plaid DSP using the Pine Tree punch and adhered along the one of the long edge of the embossed Whisper White piece, one on top of the other.

  • Fussy cut along the shape of the trees ,
  • Adhere a 1" strip of DSP along the edge of the card base, and adhere the Whisper White layer to the card base.with the cut trees on top of the adhered DSP
  • Adhere a strip of Wrapped in Plaid DSP notched at one end with the triple layer punch.
  • On a separate piece of Whisper White stamp a wreath (stamp from Frog's Whiskers) using Call Me Clover ink. Using a dot stamp from         stamp randomly around wreath with Versa Mark and emboss with Cherry Cobbler embossing powder (retired)

  • Fussy cut around wreath
  • Add wreath to adhesive sheet and apply dazzling diamonds.
  • Sponge edges with Call Me Clover ink and adhere to card front using dimensionals. and add a 1/8" satin Real Red Ribbon to base of wreath.
  • Add red glitter randomly around the wreath and on the trees along the edge of the card.
  • Finish by adding red rhinestones randomly to front.

Silvery Trees on a Touch of Frost - a CASE

I'm being fickle again.  I am so in love with the Feels Like Frost DSP!!  And couple that with the Silvery Shimmer Delicata ink - well, I'm in heaven.

This card I am casing from Anna Helman at "Scrapping Stamping and Stuff" here.  I found the card on Pinterest and just loved what she did with the DSP and the PineTree punch.

That beautiful star studded background is actually the "Feels like Frost" DSP!
Six trees from the Perfectly Plaid stamp set were stamped using the new Silvery Shimmer Delicata ink.  You really have to see this ink in person.  The shimmer is perfection!  And the two silver foil trees provide a perfect contrast to the stamped trees.  All trees were punched using the Pine Tree Punch.

There are already stars in the sky, but I added a few clear epoxy drops for good measure."

The sentiment, from "Merry Christmas" was stamped with the Silver Delicata ink and embossed with silver embossing powder.

At the bottom is placed a 3'8" Silver Metallic Edged ribbon and bow.

The portion of the DSP that was trimmed off for the card front, was used on the inside of the card.

Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Merry Christmas to All, Perfectly Plaid
Inks:  Silvery Shimmer Delicata
Papers:  Night of Navy, Whisper White, Feels Like Frost DSP, Silver Foil
Accessories:  Pine Tree Punch, 3/8" Silver Metallic Edged Ribbon, Clear Epoxy drops, Silver embossing powder

Christmas in Plaid

I am in love - again!  This time with the Wrapped in Plaid DSP!  I feel fickle loving a different item in the new Holiday catalogue almost every day but there are so many gorgeous items its hard not to.

Today I am playing with the Perfectly Plaid stamp set with its coordinating Pine Tree Punch, and of course my latest love, Wrapped in Plaid DSP.

On a Cherry Cobbler card base, I added a Whisper White layer upon which were added 4 punched Pine trees, each from a different pattern from the Wrapped in Plaid DSP.  A strip of another pattern was added along the left side in lieu of a ribbon.

The sentiment was stamped in the middle with a mini Christmas bell added beside it.

Supplies Used:
Stamp:  Perfectly Plaid
Inks:  Black Memento
Papers;  Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Wrapped in Plaid DSP
Accessories:  Pine Tree punch, Mini Christmas bell
