You Make Me Happy - Technostamper #299 and LNS challenge #241

This card is for the Technostamper challenge here and for the LNS challenge #241 which is to use dies/framelits

The base card is Calypso Coral layered with Whisper White then Watercolor Wonder DSP, the bottom right hand corner of which was folded up.
The focal image is a circle die cut with the Circle Framelits and stamped with the background stamp En Francais using Smoky Slate ink. The edge of the circle was sponged with Calypso Coral ink.
Then I created the flowers and die cut the leaves using the Sizzlet leaves die and Green Gumball card stock.
Here's how I made the flowers:  First I stamped 3 flowers on a scrap piece of Whisper white and coloured them with a Calypso Coral marker, outlining the flower with a Tangerine Tango marker.  The colours were blended using a blender pen.
Then I stamped 3 flowers with Versa Mark on Vellum cardstock and embossed them with white embossing powder.  These flowers were cut out and adhered to the coloured flowers using tombo glue.  This flower unit was then cut out.  First I placed the leaves & stem on the circle and then applied the flowers, using dimensionals on 2 of them.

The sentiment was die cut using the Spothecary Accents framelits and the edges sponged with Calypso coral.  Three banners were stamped using Banner Blast (SAB) stamp set and the following colours:  Calypso Coral, Island Indigo, Gumball Green - and then cut out and attached to the bottom of this die cut.

This sentiment framelit was attached to the card at the lower left side of the circle.

Stamps: Happy Watercolor, En Francais, Banner Blast
Inks: Smoky Slate, Versa Mark, Calypso Coral, Island Indigo, Gumball Green
Papers: Calypso Coral, Whisper White, Watercolor Wonder DSP, Gumball Green, Vellum cardstock
Accessories: Circles framelit, Apothecary accents framelit, Sizzlet leaves, dimensionals, White embossing powder.

Gratitude - Sunny Challenges & Creations SC 085/13

No, the leaves haven't turned colour here yet, but I expect that by the middle of the month a subtle change in colour will occur.  I hate for summer to come to an end, but I do like the fall (except for what comes after).  Considering that its the middle of the summer, the temperatures sure have been cool.  I just heard on the radio that it willl be 9 degrees C tonight!

For the challenge with Sunny Challenges & Creations here I thought I would make an Autumn card.

Techniques:
The leaf was stamped using the 2 stamping method and the edges then sponged with Soft Suede ink after it was cut out.
The circles were cut using the Circles framelits.  The Very Vanilla circle was stamped with the En Francais stamp set.
The doily I dyed using Soft Suede reinker in a bit of water.  I just love the colour it turned out.

Stamps: Gently falling, En Francais, Harvest of Thanks
Inks: Summer Starfruit, Tangerine Tango, Soft Suede, Soft Suede reinker, Chocolate chip
Papers: Chocolate chip, Very Vanilla, Sweater Weather DSP, Soft Suede, Whisper White
Accessories: Doily, Circles framelits, 1/2" Linen ribbon, Bitty Banners framelits, dimensionals

Feeling Sentimental - Phone Booth

This is one of the SAB stamps, which you can get FREE with a $60.00 order.  The phone booth reminds me of the phone booths of earlier days, or the ones you might see in Britain (I think because I've never been there).  They're a dying breed - just try and find a phone booth when you need one.  And they certainly don't look like this one anymore. If you do find one chances are the phone isn't working.  They're a rarity because everyone (well almost) carries cell phones today so public phones aren't as necessary as they once were.

Stamps: En Francais, Feeling Sentimental
Inks: Cajun Craze, Black Stazon
Papers: Cajun Craze, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Parker's Pattern DSP
Accessories: Ovals framelit, Cherry cobbler scalloped dotted ribbon, 1/8" basic black taffeta ribbon, dimensionals, glue dots

Fabulous Florets Happy Birthday - Stampin Queen's Sketch Challenge #19

Today I took down all the Christmas decorations, a chore I do not particularly like as it seems the whole house becomes a mess. The boxes are still not put away as my son has to carry them down the basement for me, but he is out dog sitting - so they sit in the kitchen until his return.
One thing I have discovered about myself is that I hate clutter and disorganization.  So today's task was particularly distasteful.
I'm glad to have my house back.  I'm glad to have my workspace uncluttered.  I'm glad to be able to make this card using the sketch from Stampin Queen's Sketch Challenge #19 here

The sketch provided a bit of a challenge for me and had to let it sit for a while as my brain wrestled with various possibilities.  Finally I had a solution.

First of all, here is the sketch:
