Parisian Beauty - a Mini Catalogue sneak peak

Only 4 more days before the new Mini Catalogue goes live.

In the meantime, I've made some cards using the new Parisian Beauty stamp set and its coordinating Parisian dies.  The 4 cards progress from simple stamping to more complex cards, although I have saved two of the most complex ones for a later post.

I have created a PDF for these cards, which you can download free  by clicking on Parisian Beauty
This document contains all the information you need to create these cards.

Card #1:  Simple Stampin:

Using the stamparatus, the image stamp is notch stamped on a Whisper White front.  The image is than stamped on top of this and coloured with a Pool Party Stampin' Blend.

Card #2  Simple stampin' cont'd

Designer is now added with the stamping done directly on it.
A sentiment is also added.

Card #3  Merci

Change the size and shape of the base card, add some layers, emboss the images on the DSP and add a die cut sentiment, and you have card #3

Card #4  Collage stamping

In addition to the added layers, now add an art piece that is uniquely designed using collage stamping as well as some ribbon.

Tomorrow I will post other cards made with this bundle .

Pretty Kitty - a collage - and Ticket border punch

This cute kitten stamp set made it into the new catalogue. The images are even cuter in this collage card I made.

I stamped the images of Pretty Kitty in the various areas of the collage stamp using post it notes as a mask.
They were colored with ink pads and a blender pen using the following colors:  Smoky Slate, Sweet Sugarplum, Pink Pirouette, Calypso Coral, Pear Pizzazz, Cajun Craze.

Strips of punched Sweet Sugar plum card stock were added around the art piece, and then it was mounted onto a Basic Gray card stock Base.

Clear Block Stamping - Thinking of You - Challenge 190 LNS

For challenge 190,  it's getting Back to the Basics time! This means creating a ONE LAYER card (card base only)  adding  a technique that gives the card that extra something since there are no layers!

I chose to use clear block stamping and the collage technique.

 Technique:
The card base is Whisper White card stock.  On the front, I took 2 sizes of clear stamping blocks, C and H, and inked them with Crumb Cake ink.  They were stamped on the front of the card in the position shown on the card.
The sentiment was then stamped on the top right of the card before I did the collage stamping.
The images from French Foliage were randomly stamped using Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Old Olive, and Chocolate Chip ink.
To complete the card, the edges were sponged with Chocolate chip ink.

Stamps:  French Foliage, Sassy Salutations
Inks: Cherry Cobbler, Crumb Cake, Chocolate Chip, Old Olive
Papers:  Whisper White
Accessories:  Clear stamping blocks, C and H

French Foliage Sympathy - Try Stampin' on Tuesday # 80

Even though the temperatures have begun to soar again, we have had a taste of the fall to come.  Already some of the leaves on the trees are turning (that could be the drought we had) various hues of browns and reds.  So today, for the challenge at Try Stampin' on Tuesday here    I thought I would make a fall card - with sympathy that the summer is almost over.

Technique:
Base is Cherry Cobbler card stock.  The next layer is Very Vanilla which is embossed with the Framed Tulip folder and the edges sponged first with Crumb Cake ink, and then Early Espresso.  The swirly stamp from Elements of Style was stamped at an angle onto the middle of this layer, using Crumb Cake ink.
Image Panel This was collage stamped using the stamp set French Foliage and the 3 colors of inks mentioned below.  A double butterfly (Very Vanilla and Cherry Cobbler) was attached at the upper left corner.  Pearls were placed on the body and extended over onto the panel.
Embellishments: Itty Bitty buttons, under which were placed a tiny circle of Cherry Cobbler card stock punch with the Itty Bitty punch (circle).  Pearls were attached to the top of each button.

Stamps:  Elements of Style, French Foliage, Teeny Tiny Wishes
Inks: Crumb Cake, Early Espresso, Cherry Cobbler
Papers:  Cherry Cobbler, Very Vanilla
Accessories: Framed Tulips folder, Butterfly punch, Word window punch, Itty Bitty circle punch, 1/2" cherry cobbler scalloped dotted ribbon, Itty bitty buttons, pearls, dimensionals

Collage Thank You - The Friday Mashup 72

Yesterday I spent the day at the Stampin' Up Regional Convention in Hamilton, Ontario, and one of the popular techniques used there was the collage technique.  So I thought I would try it for this challenge with the Friday Mashup.

So here is the "Mashup" Challenge:

  1. Make a project with "the Sketch".
  2. Or Make a project w/ a "flower or multiple flowers".
  3. Or "Mash it Up" and create a project w/ "the Sketch and a flower or multiple flowers".

Technique
Collage:
Using the colors Gumball Green, Summer Starfruit, and Calypso Coral and the stamp set Fruit and Flowers, the images were randomly stamped across a 3 by 3 5/8" panel of Whisper White.  The image panel was cut back to 2 by 3 5/8" and the 1" remaining panel was used to decorate the inside of the card.
Flower:
The Flower Blossom punch, and Summer Starfruit card stock, punch out 2 flowers. Make a small snip between each petal. Then score each petal in 2 places and  pinch  along score lines.
Attach the petals together using a dimensional- alternating petals.
For the center, the Boho blossom punch was used.  Punch out one each of the largest and medium flowers using Early Espresso card stock, snip between each petal and pinch up.  Adhere the 2 together.  Attach to the center of the Summer Starfruit flower.  Finish the flower by applying a cluster of pearls in the center.
Spritz with gold smooch.

Stamps: Fruit and Flowers, Petite Pairs
Inks: Gumball Green, Summer Starfruit, Calypso Coral, Basic Black
Accessories: Chevron folder, 1 3/4 by 7/8" oval punch, 3/4 by 15/16" oval punch, Pearls, 3/8" Gumball Green stitched satin ribbon, 1/4" Early Espresso grosgrain ribbon, Gold smooch, Blossom Petal Punch, Boho blossom punch, dimensionals
