Happy Birthday Pretty Kitty

Today I thought I would combine the Pretty Kitty stamp set with the Balloon Celebrations to make a birthday card.

• This happy, laughing kitty was coloured with a blender pen and Soft Suede ink.  The ribbon was coloured Calypso Coral.  It was then cut out and set aside while I made the balloons and the card base which was Calypso Coral layered with embossed Whisper White.  On the left side a strip of Cherry on Top DSP (retired) was attached. A piece of Calypso Coral cardstock was attached over the edge.
• The 3 balloons were stamped on a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock using two step stamping.  The outer balloon was stamped with Black Memento; the texture with  Calypso Coral. and  punched out using the Balloon Builder punch.
• They were clustered to the Whisper White layer which was embossed with the Gently Falling embosssing folder. The third balloon was adhered with dimensionals.
• Because the background was already embossed, the strings coming from the balloons were hand drawn down to the kitty were was applied below them as if suspended in air.
• Three clouds were punched using the Cupcake builder punch, the edges sponged with Marina Mist cardstock and applied randomly around the kitty.

Team Meeting Card Creations

Our team met last night and a great time was had by all.  This was a wonderful time to catch up on what's happening in their lives and to "play" with some new stamps and products.

I focused on 3 products:  The Paper Pumpkin kit, The Balloon Builder stamp set, and Crazy About You.  Most of the new In Colours were used
Here again is the sample card I posted yesterday but when the team members made their cards they put their own interpretation to them.  Don't you just love that?

Here are the team member's interpretations:  These are the colours used:  Sweet Sugarplum, Peekaboo Peach,  and Flirty Flamingo.  The DSP was from the Playful Palette pack.

Didn't they do a great job?  I just love their interpretations.

This stamp set is so versatile, and I challenged them to make different animals using the Balloon Builder set. 

They also made a dog using this sample as a guide.  This card used Night of Navy cardstock, DSP and ink.

Balloon Builder Unicorn Happy Birthday - a catalogue case

Last night I was having so much fun using the Balloon Builder stamp set using the new In Colours and DSP.  I cased 2 cards from the new catalogue from page 60. 
This stamp is a carry over from the Occasions catalogue which finishes tomorrow.

I partially cased this particular card because at my craft show one of my customers asked if I had a unicorn stamp.  Well, here is a unicorn made using the Balloon Builder stamp set.

The base card is Sweet Sugarplum, layered with Playful Palette DSP stack.  The image is built on a piece of Whisper White card stock which was adhered to the DSP at an angle.
I used Sweet Sugarplum and Peekapoo Peach inks to create the unicorn, and then using the journaling pen to draw in the mouth and eye.
While stamping, I made a "boo-boo" in the lower right corner, so I punched 2 small balloons out of Flirty Flamingo cardstock using the small balloon punch

The sentiment was stamped with Black Memento on a small banner and adhered to the top right of the card.  A bow made of Whisper White Baker's twine was attached to the top of this banner using a glue dot.
