Be Dazzling , Becolor!! How to colour the SAB Be Dazzling paper

I wish this were my original idea, but its not.  I saw this transformation of the Be Dazzling Specialty paper on a video by Penny Bennett, and have since seen a number of demonstrators do the same thing with this free SAB p6roduct.

So, what am I talking about?

The Be Dazzling Specialty paper is a free offering from Stampin Up, free with a $60 purchase.  This glittery 6 by 6"paper (Page 3 of the SAB brochure)comes in a pack of 8.

All of the paper is a champagne colour.  I want to change that.

So here is a brief tutorial

Materials needed:

  • 4 pieces of champagne coloured Be Dazzling Specialty Paper
  • 91% rubbing alcohol
  • 4 Stampin' Up spritzers
  • 4 different reinkers - Garden Green, Crushed Curry, Poppy Parade, Cinnamon Cider
  • Aluminum dish pan
  • Surface protectant &paper towels
  • gloves optional
Method:
  • Fill each spritzer 3/4 full with 91% rubbing alcohol
  • Add 15 drops of reinker in each spritzer
  • Place champagne Be Dazzling paper into aluminun pan and spritz with the coloured alcohol covering the entire surface.  Drain excess.  Place on paper towel to dry.  Write name of reinker colour on back..
Because rubbing alcohol is used the paper dried very quickly.

Using the altered dazzling paper, I die cut some leaves as embellishments for the Welcoming Woods card
Thanks
