Poinsettia Christmas - Fab Friday #201

For the sketch challenge at Fab Friday #201 I fussy cut a poinsettia from the Poinsettia Place DSP and made it the focal image.

A piece of Poinsettia Place DSP was adhered to the Cherry Cobbler card base. Then a smaller piece of Very Vanilla card stock (smaller in the width but not the length) was added on top of that - adjacent to the left edge.

The focal image is added to a strip of Cherry Cobbler card stock which has a strip of gold foil has been added to the right side, This poinsettia has been fussy cut from the DSP and before adding to the Cherry Cobbler strip with dimensionals, the edges were sponged with Soft Suede ink.  A smaller poinsettia was die cut in Garden Green card stock using the Poinsettia Petal die,  The Poinsettia was cut into the leaves for the Poinsettia.  Two gold sprigs were also die cut and added to the poinsettia.

The finished strip was added to the card front using dimensionals.

The sentiment was stamped with cherry Cobbler ink on a strip of Very Vanilla card stock and added below the Poinsettia.  A bow made with gold trim was added on the sentiment strip.

To finish the flower, some Glitter Glossy Accents and Dazzling Diamonds was added to the flower, and red Wonderful Gems added randomly to the card front.

So pretty, Maria - I have to remember to go back to the DSP for extra special images like this! Love layering! Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!

Very pretty! That poinsettia just pops so nicely! The different layers of sprigs and gold accents are lovely. Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!
