In the Pines Season's Greetings - a sneak peak

I love trees, I always have.  So I knew I would love working with the new In the Pines stamp set.  This stamp set is in the new Holiday catalogue which goes live on Tuesday Aug. 4. The stamp set has a coordinating die set.  Two of the dies create snow banks.

So one of the first things I did was die cut some snow banks, adding dazzling diamonds to them to make them look more realistic.

Then I stamped the three types of trees in either Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive, Mossy Meadow or Garden Green and die cut them with the coordinating dies.

The card base is Thick Whisper White, layered with Balmy Blue card stock.  The Balmy Blue layer was stamped with Balmy Blue ink using the snow or splatter stamp, making it look like it was snowing.

The snow bank layers were layered and adhered to the Balmy Blue layer at the bottom and side edges only, allowing the trees to be tucked in between the snow banks as depicted in the picture above.

After the trees were added I decided the scene needed some deer, so I pulled out the Snow Front stamp set, stamped and fussy cut the two deer and added them on the snow bank below the large trees.

The sentiment was stamped in Mossy Meadow ink on  a 1" strip, both ends of which were punched with the new Banners PIck a Punch.
