The weather on this first of October Day is finally cooler, and we're even having some rainfall, although not as much as the flooding deluge that Windsor experienced. A perfect day to stay indoors and make some cards - relax and make some cards - even though I really need to work and replenish the stock that was sold at my sale yesterday.
This is the card I ended up making.
The base card is Cherry Cobbler cardstock, layered with Warmth and Cheer DSP, followed with the Whisper White image piece. This piece was embossed with the Brick Wall embossing folder. The rest of the die cuts were built on this background.
"Noel" was die cut in Cherry Cobbler cardstock and adhered to the top of the art piece.
On a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock, three stockings were stamped- one with Cherry Cobbler, one with Garden Green, and one with Delightful Dijon and then die cut with the Christmas Stockings Thinlets. They were then embossed with the new Cable Knit embossing folder.
The tops, heels and toes were die cut using Dazzling Diamond glimmer paper and adhered to the stocking; The snowflakes die cut from the center of another stocking.
The stockings were hung from pine boughs which were die cut in Garden Green and the Pretty Pines Thinlet. At the top of each stocking I adhered a bow made with linen thread.
