Flower Pot Card

I had some fun today making flowers using various stamp sets, and punches, some of which are retiring and some are not.
I had quite a number when I was done, so make a flower pot easel card, the template for which I got at my local craft store.

The card base is Cajun Craze cardstock, layered with Moroccan Series DSP.  I used a template from a local craft store to make this flower pot shaped easel card.

I stamped floral images from various stamp sets (Flower Shop, Grateful Bunch), punched some of the others using the Petite Petal Punch, Bunch Punch, the Scallop circle framelit, and Botanical Framelits. Some flowers were made into tiny roses, or a Chrysanthemum.  Most of the floral centers have pearls in them, but some have small brads.

The sentiment is from "Blossom Birthdays"

I Love You Sister - Try Stampin' on Tuesday #313

My sister has been facing some major health problems and today I made a card for her. I used the sketch by Vicki to make this card as a member of the design team at Try Stampin' on Tuesday. Because the theme was "Beautiful Flowers" I made flowers as the main focal point.

This card is all about 3's.  Three ovals, three flowers, three ovals, three layers, and challenge 313.  Plus my sister is one of 3 children.

I began by creating the focal image.  Three small ovals were die cut in Whisper White card stock and matted with a slightly larger Rich Razzelberry scalloped ovals. All the edges of the ovals were sponged with Rich Razzelberry ink.

Three petite flowers were punched in Blushing Bride cardstock and the edges sponged with Rich Razzelberry ink. Two flowers were also punched with Pear Pizzazz card stock. They were cut into individual pieces to become the leaves for the flowers. After snipping between the petals, a paint brush handle was used to curl them up.  Two stamens were inserted in the middle; the leaves adhered and then they were added to the middle of the 3 ovals.

On the other 2 ovals, some stamping was done, and again, they were matted with Scalloped Rich Razzelberry cardstock.

The sentiment was stamped in a banner which was punched using the Dual Banner punch.  One nice thing about photopolymer stamps is that they can be bent to go around a curve.

The ovals and the sentiment were adhered to the card front, which consists of a Rich Razzelberry base matted with Whisper White and then Falling in Love DSP.

And, of course, no card is complete without bling.  So, I added a gold metallic enamel heart embellishment to both sides of the sentiment and on the middle oval.

You Brighten my Day - A Teapot full of Flowers - Stampin' Royalty #335

The challenge with Stampin' Royalty this week is the "Use Your Dies" i.e make a project using our dies.
So, for this challenge, I dug out some recently retired dies, used a current stamp set and created this card.  I was inspired by a card similar to this made by jnbcards, which I saw on Pinterest.

• The base card is Flirty Flamingo 4/1/4 by 11, folded to make a top fold card.
• The dies cuts and punchies were built upon the next Whisper White layer which had been embossed with the sparkles embossing folder.

Here are the dies/punches I used:
1.  Cups and kettles framelit dies for the tea pot and lid (Whisper White edges with Flirty Flamingo)
2.  Bouquet XL die for the leaves (garden green cardstock)
3.  Petite Petal Punch to make the flowers which had been stamped with Flirty Flamingo ink.
