Bloom with Hope Happy Birthday - with Blendabilities background

This is another card made with a background I created using various colours of blendabilities.  The tutorial for this technique can be found here

These are the colours of the blendabilities that I used to create the background for this card:  Melon Mambo, Coastal Cabana, Daffodil Delight, and Wisteria Wonder

This is a 5 by 5" square card with an Early Espresso cardstock base.  The next layer, Melon Mambo, is the largest of the Square framelit dies and is scalloped on all sides.

Here is the side view.

The image was stamped with Black Stazon directly onto the coloured glossy cardstock. The flower and the stem is from "Bloom with Hope", but the leaves are from "Peaceful Petals".

The image was trimmed to fit in a Bermuda Bay frame that was made by placing 2 sizes of the square framelits together and running it through the Big shot.  The image and frame were attached to the melon mambo square using dimensionals.

The sentiment, from "Remembering Your Birthday" was stamped with Basic Black ink on Whisper White cardstock and matted with a left over piece of the blendabilities background and  attached to the bottom of the frame.

To complete the card, 3 rhinestones were placed in the two upper corners.

Built for Free Using: My Stampin Blog

Also used was Glossy Cardstock but photo paper could be used.

Peaceful Petals 3 by 3 boxed Thank You card set

I made another boxed set of 3 by 3 cards for my craft table.  This time I used the images from Peaceful Petals, colouring the images with blendabilities.
Again I used Kraft paper as my base, and the box was also made using Kraft paper and the envelope maker.

This shows the box and the 4 cards.  All the cards are not the same as I made only 2 of each.

This card shows the larger flower of the stamp set.  The image is coloured with Daffodil Delight blendabilites, with Pumpkin Pie in the center.  The leaves are coloured with Old Olive.  The designer paper is from the Moonlight DSP paper stack.  I used Teeny Tiny wishes for the sentiment and punched it out using the Word Label punch. Two of these were made.

This single flower was coloured with Cherry Cobbler blendabilities, with the stem coloured with Old Olive.  The center was coloured using Daffodil Delight.  After the flower was coloured, it was covered with Crystal Effects.  When that was dry, I cut the flower out, and adhered a bow made of linen thread to the stem (using a glue dot).  The cut out flower was adhered to a die cut from the Pennants die (retired).  Again Teeny Tiny wishes was used for the sentiment, punched out with the Word Window punch and layered with a red Modern Word Label punchee. Two of these were made.

Stamps: Peaceful Petals, Teeny Tiny wishes
Inks: Black Memento, Blendabilities
Paper: Kraft, Whisper White, Very Vanilla, Moonlight DSP paper stack, Real Red
Accessories: 1/4" Daffodil Delight cotton ribbon, Crystal Effects, Linen thread, Pennant die, Word Label punch, Modern Word Label Punch, dimensionals, glue dots, Envelope punch board

I used the Daffodil Delight set of blendabilities, with the Skin Tone (bronze) in the middle of the large flower.  The small flowers were stamped with Island Indigo ink and punched with the coordinating punch.  The rhinestones in the center were coloured using the Tangerine Tango blendability pen.

Stamps: Peaceful Petals, Petite Petals
Inks: Memento ink, Island Indigo, set of 3 Daffodil Delight blendabilities, Skin tone blendabilities, Tangerine Tango blendability
Papers: Gumball Green, Whisper White, Watercolor Wonder DSP

Thank You - Peaceful Petals Sketch Frenzy Friday

This is another card using the Peaceful Petals stamp set.  I haven't participated in the challenge with Sketch Frenzy Friday for a while and wow - almost the entire team is different!  So----I thought today I participate in their challenge here

The flower is from the Peaceful Petals set and the leaves from French Foliage.  The flower was stamped twice and colored with Daffodil Delight and Crushed Curry markers, with brown in the center.  Both flowers were cut out. The middle of one flower was cut out  and attached to the other flower using dimensionals.  The leaves were stamped with Pear Pizzazz, cut out, and attached to the underside of the flower using glue dots.  A piece of 1/8" Old Olive taffeta ribbon was tied just underneath the flower.
The flower was attached to a strip of Night of Navy designer paper made into a banner.  I attached a scalloped piece of Whisper White card stock along one side of the banner to differentiate it from the designer paper underneath.
The base card is Night of Navy layered with embossed Whisper White and a piece of the other side of the Night of Navy DSP.

Stamps: Peaceful Petals, French Foliage
Inks: Black Stazon, Night of Navy, SU markers (Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Chocolate Chip), Pear Pizzazz
Papers: Night of Navy, Whisper White, Night of Navy DSP
Accessories: 1/8" Old Olive taffeta ribbon, Decorative dots embossing folder, Modern Word Label Punch, Scallop border punmch, Dazzling Details, dimensionals

Peaceful Petals - The Friday Mashup #145

It's another snowy day so a good day to be indoors and be "crafty".  Today I thought I would do the challenge with The Friday Mashup #145, which is a sketch challenge which includes the technique of sponging.  Now sponging I like to do and I use that technique a lot, so today I hope I am up ot the challenge.

I used the stamp set "Peaceful Petals" and coloured the image with ink pads and a blender pen.  I then sponged around the edge of the image panel with Baked Brown Sugar and placed pearls in the center of the flower centers.  The panel was matted with Baked Brown Sugar card stock.  This was attached to two sponged panels using dimensionals.
The panels were sponged using Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight, and Baked Brown Sugar inks, and then the leaf image was stamped randomly (using Pear Pizzazz) all over each panel.  Each panel was then matted with Baked Brown Sugar card stock.
The panels were attached to a layer of Whisper White cardstock, the edges of which were also sponged before attaching to a Pear Pizzazz base.

Stamp: Peaceful Petals
Inks: Black Stazon, Pear Pizzazz, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Baked Brown Sugar
Papers: Pear Pizzazz, Whisper White, Baked Brown Sugar
Accessories: 1 1/4" circle punch, 1 3/8" circle punch, dimensionals, pearls.
