Inspiring Iris - two cards

The Iris is the genus of 260 -300 species of showy plants which takes it name from the Greek goddess who rode rainbows.
The most familiar one is the tall 'bearded' variety which is easy to grow and blooms in June. They attract butterflies and hummingbirds and make wonderful cut flowers.

Today I made 2 cards featuring this beautiful flower.  Both cards are fun folds - one a double triangle flip fold and the other a "W" or inside pop up fold.

The basic card is Blushing Bride where the top layer is cut into 2 triangles.  See video here
Well Dressed designer paper is adhered to one of the triangles; retired Vellum DSP on the other.

The image of the Iris is coloured with Stampin' Blends and then embossed using the Stitched So Sweetly Die and the embossing mats. The Whisper White art piece is then matted with a die cut Gorgeous Grape rectangle.

This is added to the bottom half of the card front.

The sentiment, highlighted from a complete sentiment from the same stamp set with a Basic Black marker, is added below the flower with dimensionals.

Here the frontlower triangle is opened.  A piece of Whisper White card stock is adhered to the inside of the art piece.

Then top triangular piece is opened to reveal the inside
