Create with Creative Elements - Unscripted Sketches #210

Happy Mother's Day!!  I hope all of you have made your telephone calls and/or received them.  My daughter called me early this morning, but she has 3 young children to wake her up.  Fortunately I was up and it was great to talk to her.  My son is spoiling me!  He made me brunch and won't even let me wash the dishes!  He's now out power cleaning the deck.  What a guy!  I'm not supposed to get out of my pjamas today - but probably will.

This card is for the sketch challenge with Unscripted Sketches here

US_Sketch210

The base card is Elegant Eggplant which I layered with a Honeycomb embossed piece of Whisper White card stock.
To create the focal image panel, I first stamped the flower on a scrap piece of Whisper White card stock using Wisteria Wonder ink.  The flower was then cut out.  Next I stamped the butterfly using Elegant Eggplant ink, and cut it out.  The word "Create" was stamped on the lower right corner of the panel. The edges of this Whisper White panel were sponged with Wisteria Wonder ink.
The flower was attached to the left side, the butterfly on the right over top of the sentiment.  Some dazzling details was added to the flower, and some rhinestones to the center of the butterfly and on the middle of the upper edge of the panel.
I next cut a piece of Wisteria wonder card stock to mat the image panel and extend below the focal panel.  The lower end was cut freehand as indicated by the sketch.  I then embossed this piece with the Polka dot folder and distressed the edges with Wisteria Wonder ink.
Some ruffled Wisteria Wonder ribbon and a bow was attached to the lower edge, after which it was attached to the card.
The image panel was attached to the embossed Wisteria wonder piece using dimensionals.

Here's a summary of the materials used:
Stamp: Creative Elements
Inks: Wisteria Wonder, Elegant Eggplant, Black Stazon
Papers: Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White, Wisteria Wonder
Accessories: Honeycomb folder, Polka dot folder, 3/8" Wisteria Wonder ruffled ribbon, rhinestones, dimensionals, Dazzling details.

Thanks for stopping by.

Decorated Kraft Box with Gerbera Daisy - Create with Connie & Mary #163

This week the challenge at Create with Connie & Mary is a colour one:  Tangerine Tango, So Saffron and Pacific Point.  More on their blog here

I had to do a lot of thinking about this colour combination.  For some reason my creative mind was not sending out any ideas.
Suddenly, this morning it hit me!  Decorate a Kraft box and put a 3D Gerbera Daisy on top!

I made the Gerbera Daisy first, with the colours of the challenge - using a tutorial created by Shelly Bohan here and the Daisy Die #2.
After assembling the Kraft box, I covered the top and sides with Beyond the Garden designer paper (focusing on the sheet that was predominately Pacific Point and white).
A scallop circle in Whisper White was cut using the Scallop Circle die.  The scallops were inked with Tangerine Tango ink.
The completed Gerbera Daisy was mounted on the top of the box using dimensionals.
The gift tag is from Beautiful Season.  It is attached to the box with white baker's twine.
The Pumpkin Pie 1 1/4" striped grosgrain ribbon (retired) was cut in half and frayed - then it was wrapped around the box. A bow was made with the other half and mounted on the front of the box.
