Circle of Spring Easter Card

It's wonderful that the framelits from the Christmas stamp set "Wondrous Wreath" can be used to die cut the Circle of Spring wreath!

This really cute floral wreath in the "Circle of Spring" stamp set was used to make an Easter card.

I stamped the Hardwood background stamp on Crumb Cake card stock with Soft Suede ink.  This was cut into 2 pieces, the edges sponged, and then formed into a cross.

Before adhering the card to the Whisper White art piece, an image of a sunburst from the stamp set "Wherever You Go" was stamped so that the rays would show just over the top of the cross.

At the base, I stamped some grass using a stamp from "Sheltering Tree".

The die cut wreath was placed over the top of the cross, and the Easter sentiment was added using a dimensional to the center of the wreath.

The Wreath:
After stamping with Black Memento, the various parts of the wreath were coloured with a Wink of Stella glimmer brush and the following ink colours:  Mint Macaron, Peek-a-poo Peach, Flirty Flamingo, Sweet Sugarplum.

Four (4) extra flowers were coloured, die cut, and three were added to the wreath, and the 4th were reserved for the inside of the card..  Pearls were placed in the center of each of these flowers; tiny pearls were also added to the center of the smaller flowers

I extended the main part of the cross over the bottom of  the art piece in order to maintain visual proportions of the wreath covered cross.  In other words it did not look right when it was shorter.

Before matting the art piece with Crumb Cake I wrapped a 1/4" ruffled Flirty Flamingo around the base and then added a bow.

The Art Piece was added to the Soft Suede card front which had a piece of  Flirty Flamingo DSP attached.

Stamps: Circle of Spring, Hardwood, Wherever You Go, Sheltering Tree

Papers: Soft Suede, Whisper White, Crumb Cake, Flirty Flamingo DSP

Gratitude Boxed Note cards

These are some thank you notes especially designed with Fall and Thanksgiving in mind.  There are 4 note cards and envelopes contained in a designer box.

Using the Wondrous Wreath stamp set, I stamped first with Daffodil Delight, and then Pumpkin Pie.  Lastly I stamped with Cherry Cobbler.
The wreaths were die cut using the Wondrous Wreath framelit dies and then adhered to the front of the note card. After the card was finished, cherry cobbler dazzling detail was applied to each of the berries.

The white note card is lined with Pumpkin Pie, and then Fancy Frost Specialty DSP which was sponged lightly with So Saffron ink.  A piece of 1/2" Pumpkin Pie ribbon (retired) was adhered to the lower half of the card. The same ribbon was used to make the bow on the wreath.

Pumpkin Pie cardstock was used to die cut the word "gratitude"

The box was made usng the envelope maker and Kraft cardstock.  Another wreath was made and a circular hole was die cut in the top of the box covered with a window sheet.  The wreath was adhered around the window.

To keep the box closed, a 1" Kraft card stock belly band was placed loosely around the box. and the pumpkin pie ribbon tied around it.

Papers: Whisper White note card, Fancy Frost Specialty DSP, Pumpkin Pie, Whisper White

Wondrous Wreath - a Fun Fold - Pal Paper Arts #275

I received a Christmas card that had a fold on it that I had never seen before, and I thought I would recreate it using the color challenge with Pal Paper Arts
The colour challenge:  Blackberry Bliss, Hello Honey, And Tangelo Twist

After thinking about it for a while, I chose to use the stamp set "Wondrous Wreath"

  • The finished card size is 4 1/2 by 4 3/4", with a 1/2" flap on the left side that folds over a piece of DSP.
  • Here are the measurements:
Blackberry Bliss 5 1.2 b 4 1/2 scored 3/4" at one end
Hello Honey 5 1/2 by 4 1/4" Scored at 4 3/4"
Whisper White: 4 1/4 by 3 5/8" (for sentiment)
Blackberry Bliss 3 7/8 by 3 5/8"
Blackberry Bliss DSP 5/8 by 3 5/8"
Whisper White 3 1/2 by 3 1/2" for wreath and bow
Dazzling diamond glimmer paper 4 by 2" - coloured with a Tangelo Twist marker
Jute ribbon 5"

  • The wreath was made first.  It was stamped first with Hello Honey, then with Tangelo Twist, and the berries with Blackberry Twist.  The wondrous wreath framelit was used to die cut the wreath.  The bow was die cut in Whisper White, and later coloured with a Tangelo Twist marker.
  • The Jute ribbon was attached to the 35/8 by 3 7/8" Blackberry Bliss piece
  • The strip of DSP was then adhered to the left side of the Hello Honey piece, and the Blackberry piece was adhered to the top of the Hello Honey.

  • The wreath was adhered to the front of the card using dimensionals.  I made glitter using dazzling details and a tiny drop of Tangelo Twist reinker, and applied it with a blender pen.

  • "Noel" was die cut with Dazzling diamond glimmer paper and coloured with a Tangelo Twist marker.  The Fine tip glue pen was used to adhere it to the front of the wreath.

  • A rhinestone was added to the bow.
  • The inside of the card was stamped with the sentiment from the stamp set.
