Tasty Truck Treat Holder

Making the Tasty Truck treat holder has been on my mind to make since the moment I saw the stamp set. Today was the day to make it.

Two images of the truck were stamped and coloured with watercolor pencils and a blender pen. Two banners were added as well as 2 ice cream cones and 2 cupcakes.  As well, a sentiment was stamped on the side of the truck. They were then cut out to become the front and back of the treat holder.

A treat box was custom made for between the trucks. A 3 1/4 by 4 1/2" piece of  Whisper White cardstock was scored 1" all the way around and formed into a box.  The finished box was 1 1/4 by 1".
After adhering the two trucks to the front and back, a treat bag full of jelly beans, tied with a Real Red ribbon was placed in the treat holder.

Above is a side view.
The treat holder could be a bit shorter in height and then it wouldn't be soon over the headlights of the truck.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Tasty Truck (SAB)
Inks: Black Memento, Water color pencils
Papers: Whisper White
Accessories: Blender pen, small gusseted treat bag, 1/4" Real Red ribbon (retired), score pal

The Ice Cream Truck (SAB & Occasions) Sneak Peak)

I was going to name this SAB sneak peak card "Tasty Truck" but when my son saw the card he said "Oh, an Ice Cream Truck" thus the title.

For this card I used 3 SAB  products - Tasty Truck, Delicate Details, Silver Metallic ribbon, and two Occasions catalogue items - watercolor pencils and the Cupcakes and carousel DSP

Art Piece:
After stamping the truck on a 2 3/4 by 2 1/4" piece of Whisper White card stock, it was coloured with the new watercolour pencils and blended with a blender pen. A Crumb Cake SU marker was used to make the shadow under the truck. After aponging the art piece edges it was matted with a 3 by 2 1/2" piece of Bermuda Bay card  stock.  After it was added to the card front  dazzling details was applied to some areas of the truck and ice cream cones.

Card:
The card base is Melon Mambo, layered with Whisper White embossed with the Woodlands embossing folder.  This was sponged very lightly with Bermuda Bay ink to bring out its features.
A piece of Cupcakes and Carousel DSP was added to the bottom , with a strip of the reverse side adhered at the top.
Yesterday I used the gold metallic ribbon; today the 3/8 " silver ribbon, which was adhered at the top edge of this DSP strip.
On a separate piece of Whisper White cardstock, one of the Delicate Details edges was stamped withMelon Mambo and cut out.  The image did not extend all the way across the card, so it was stamped twice and an extra piece attached to one end.  This was adhered above the ribbon.

The art piece was attached to the card at an angle with dimensionals.

Two tiny Bermuda Bay cupcakes were stamped above the sentiment, which was punched with  t he ticket builder punch.  It was layered with Bermuda Bay and the corners notched with a 1/2" circle punch . Some dazzling details was added to the cupcakes after it was adhered to the card fr ont at an angle similar to the art piece.

Supplies Used:
Stamps: Tasty Trucks, Delicate Details
Inks: Black Memento, Water color pencils, Crumb Cake marker, Bermuda Bay, Melon Mambo
Papers: Melon Mambo, Whisper White, Bermuda Bay, Cupcakes & Carousel DSP
Accessories: Woodlands Embossing Folder, Blender Pen, Dazzling Details, 3/8" silver metallic ribbon, Ticket Builder punch , 1/2" circle punch, dimensionals.

Tasty Truck (SAB) - a Child's Perspective

If you can recall, on my post regarding the craft fair last Saturday, Nov. 26, I mentioned that a 10 year old girl spent a lot of time in my booth, making boxes, decorating them, and then she coloured this image from "Tasty Trucks", a SAB stamp set which will be available in Jan.FREE with a purchase of $60.
I just loved the colours she used, so I decided to make the image she coloured into a card, and give it to her tomorrow when I see her again.  Her mom is a vendor in the same craft show I am in.
I picked up the colours she used and these are reflected in the card.

I had stamped and die cut the image before going to the show, and brought the new watercolour pencils and a blender pen.  After showing her how to use the blender pen, I left her to colour the image as she wished.
I was really impressed with her colouring skills so made it into a card.  I think she will be surprised.
