This is a wreath I made for my craft sale this weekend. I had found this wreath in a thrift store a while a go, and I was just waiting for the right moment to make something with it. Today was the day.
I love making flowers- and using punches to make them.
Some time ago I bought this wreath in a thrift store, and the pine cones on a walk by the canal. Today I made some poinsettias using the festive flower builder punch, and attached them to the wreath using a hot glue gun. Some pine branches, added among the flowers, were die cut with the Pretty Pines thinlet dies. They added some texture and interest to the wreath.
I'm pleased with the way it turned out, so I will be putting it on my craft table this weekend.
Supplies Used:
.Festive Flower Builder Punch
.Pretty Pines thinlet dies
.Real Red Cardstock
.Daffodil Delight cardstock
.Garden Green cardstock
.Always Artichoke cardstock
.Cherry Cobbler ink
.2 1/2" wire ribbon (non SU)
.wreath

I used the sketch challenge with the Paper Craft Crew Challenges to make this card.
- Garden Green card base, layered with Very Vanilla. The DSP is "This Christmas Speciallty" DSP.
- A Very Vanilla tag was created using the retired scallop top tag punch, which was matted with Garden Green cardstock. On this was attached a Cherry Cobbler Poinsettia flower made using the Festive Flower punch. The center of the flower is comprised of rolled up small center punchies in Garden Green. At the top of the top of the tag is attached a silver glimmer snowflake punched with the Snowflake Flurry Punch. A wooden snowflake embellishment was adhered on top of this snowflake and a bow of linen thread on top of that.
- Behind the tag is a Cherry Cobbler strip notched at both ends.
- Sentiment is from "Reason for the Season", stamped with Black Memento onto Very Vanilla and die cut using the layering circles framelits. It is matted with a Garden Green circle and attached to the card front using dimensionals

I made a few explosion purses for my recent craft shows and they were popular especially with the girls.

- The purse opens to reveal quite a large area which can have pictures applied to, or journalling done, or a small toy or some candy can be placed inside.

Cozy Christmas - with poinsettia
Last night I pulled out a Christmas stamp set I hadn't touched yet, and made 3 days, some are partially cased from Pinterest.
Stamps: Cosy Christmas, Jingle all the Way
Papers: Whisper White, Real Red, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Red Glimmer Paper
Inks: Night of Navy, Smoky Slake, Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke
Accessories: Two Way glue pen, dazzling diamonds, blender pen, Festive Builder punch, 1" circle punch, small star from Accessory Pack, glue dots, hot glue gun.
- This is a 5 by 5 Whisper White card, with a died circle in the center.
- The stamp was stamped with Night of Navy, and shaded a bit with Smoky Slate using a blender pen. The fox and the snowflakes in the sky are from "Jingle all the Way"
- Some dazzling diamonds was placed on the roof, trees around the house.
- The Festive Flower Punch was used to make a Real Red poinsettia (only 1 layer). The petals were sponged with Cherry Cobbler ink; the leaves with Always Artichoke.
- Three red glimmer stars were adhered to the top left because my fingers had smeared black ink there just as I finished the card.

A Christmas Wreath
I bought a wreath covered with artificial leaves & berries (awful looking really), but they were attached to a very nice vine wreath. So, I removed these leaves and berries until I was down to the bare wreath. Then I built it up, using leaves I die cut and coloured, and poinsettia flowers I made using the new Festive Build a Flower punch.
Close up showing poinsettia and leaves
Close up of poinsettia
- I used a hot glue gun to attach everything to the base wreath, and I also used the hot glue gun to build the poinsettia. I tried using dimensionals, but they did not stick
- Before building the flower, all the edges were sponged with Soft Suede and the petals folded in half to make a crease in the middle of the flower.
- To finish the wreath, I made a double bow with the 3/8" white glitter ribbon and attached it to the top.

Poinsettia Christmas - The Friday Mashup #119
The breeze today is wonderful after the oppressive heat of the last three or four days. It's still hot and slightly humid, but the breeze makes it tolerable.
It's hard to get in the Christmas mode with the weather being so warm, but if I'm to be ready for Christmas I have to start now.
Today I used the challenge with the Friday Mashup here - which is to use a favourite new stamp set with a sketch challenge - to create my card. I used the stamp set "Joyful Christmas" from the Holiday catalogue.
I started by stamping two flowers and 4 leaves with Versa Mark onto Whisper White paper and embossing them with gold embossing powder. They were then painted using ink pads and an Aqua painter. For the flowers I used Cherry cobbler ink with shading done with Marina Mist. The centers were painted with Daffodil Delight. The leaves were painted with Pear Pizzazz and shaded with Old Olive.
One entire flower was cut out as well as the center of the other flower. All the leaves were cut out as well. The small flower was adhered to the larger flower using a dimensional. Then I added a dot of tombo glue to the centers of the flower and placed some gold stampin' glitter on top of that. I let the glue dry before I shook off the excess.
The flower was adhered to a Whisper White circle die cut using the circles framelit and the paper pierced with a mat pack and paper piercer. The leaves were attached as indicated in the picture above. This circle was matted with a Cherry Cobbler circle.
The base card is Cherry Cobbler card stock, layered with Whisper White cardstock and then Seasons of Style designer paper. Six photo edges were punched in Old Olive card stock and adhered near the bottom of the DSP. The sentiment, which was embossed with gold embossing powder, was attached to these photo edges.
The flower and circle was adhered to the DSP towards the left side of the card.
Stamps: Joyful Christmas, More Merry Messages
Inks: Versa Mark, Cherry Cobbler, Marina Mist, Pear Pizzazz, Old Olive
Papers: Cherry Cobbler, Whisper White, Seasons of Style DSP, Old Olive
Accessories: Photo punch, Circles framelits, Mat pack and paper piercer, Gold embossing powder, Gold stampin' glitter
