Cosy Christmas through a window

This is my third Cozy Christmas card, and combined it with the window framelit.
  • The basic card is Whisper White, layered with Basic Black and then Night of Navy embossed with the decorative dots embossing folder.
  • The scene itself was built on a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  I first sponged the night sky with a mixture of Night of Navy and Marina Mist.  Then the image of the house and trees were stamped with Night of Navy, and Santa and sleigh in Basic Black.
  • The window frame was added using the fine tipped glue pen, and the sill with dimensionals.
  • Dazzling details were added to the house roof, trees and ground.
  • The sentiment was stamped in Night of Navy on the window frame.
Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Cozy Christmas
Inks: Night of Navy, Basic Black, Marina Mist
Papers: Whisper White, Basic black, Night of Navy,
Accessories: Decorative dots embossing folder, dazzling diamonds, dimensionals, fine tipped glue pen

The Magic of the Season

This is the second of the 3rd card I made last night featuring the Cozy Christmas stamp set.  I used a strip of the Home for Christmas DSP, my favourite DSP this season.  This strip has little churches and houses, and trees, etc on it and goes along with the old fashioned theme of the stamp set.

  • I picked up the Pool Party colour of the DSP and made that the colour of the basic card stock base.
  • The strip of DSP was matted with Real Red cardstock, and before attaching it to the card base I attached a Doillie to the card front.  The DSP piece was adhered on top of this strip (and to one side)
  • The sentiment, from the same stamp set, was stamped in Moss Meadow ink, die cut with the circles framelit and the edges sponged with the same colour of ink.
  • The word "Season" was stamped in Real Red on a scrap piece of Whisper White, and cut into a banner.  It was then adhered over the greet word using dimensionals.
  • The entire circle was adhered using dimensionals.
  • A bow tied with the 1/8" Real Red striped polyester ribbon and adhered to the top of the sentiment circle using a glue dot.
Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Cozy Christmas
Inks: Mossy Meadow, Real Red
Papers: Pool Party, Home for Christmas DSP, Real Red DSP, Whisper White
Accessories: Circles Framelits, Doillie, 1/8" Real Red striped polyester ribbon, dimensionals, glue dot

Cozy Christmas - with poinsettia

Last night I pulled out a Christmas stamp set I hadn't touched yet, and made 3 days, some are partially cased from Pinterest.

  • This is a 5 by 5 Whisper White card, with a died circle in the center.
  • The stamp was stamped with Night of Navy, and shaded a bit with Smoky Slate using a blender pen.  The fox and the snowflakes in the sky are from "Jingle all the Way"
  • Some dazzling diamonds was placed on the roof, trees around the house.
  • The Festive Flower Punch was used to make a Real Red poinsettia (only 1 layer).  The petals were sponged with Cherry Cobbler ink; the leaves with Always Artichoke.
  • Three red glimmer stars were adhered to the top left because my fingers had smeared black ink there just as I finished the card.
Supplies Used:
Stamps:  Cosy Christmas, Jingle all the Way
Papers: Whisper White, Real Red, Old Olive, Daffodil Delight, Red Glimmer Paper
Inks:  Night of Navy, Smoky Slake, Cherry Cobbler, Always Artichoke
Accessories: Two Way glue pen, dazzling diamonds, blender pen, Festive Builder punch, 1" circle punch, small star from Accessory Pack, glue dots, hot glue gun.

Peace to You and Yours - Friday Mashup #229

Normally colour challenges throw me off, but I thought I would try this one with the Friday Mashup

The challenge here is as follows:

  • Use all 5 or 3 of the colors listed above.
  • Create a project using a Masking Techniques.
  • or Mash it Up! and create a project with the colors above and some Masking.
On my card, I used the following colours:  black, Island Indigo, Daffodil Delight, and Crushed Currie.  I did do some masking, covering up the moon before I sponged the sky.

  • The basic card is Island Indigo cardstock, layered with Whisper White.
  • On a smaller piece of Whisper White, I stamped the image from "To You and Yours Too" with Versa Mark and embossed it with black embossing powder.
  • A 1 3/4" circle post it note was punched and temporarily adhered to the right upper sky.
  • Island Indigo was sponged first starting at the sky line and lightly working upward, leaving a space around the moon.
  • Daffodil Delight was then sponged around the moon, with Crushed Curry closer to the moon.
  • After the mask was removed, some Daffodil  Delight was applied to the moon.
  • The image of santa and his sleight from "Cosy Christmas" was stamped with Black Memento flying across the sky and over the moon.
  • To make the sparkles in the sky, the new Fine Tipped Glue pen was tapped lightly all over the sky, and dazzling diamonds applied.
  • The sentiment is from "Happy Scenes".  A bow made of silver cord was adhered to this banner with a glue dot.
Supplies Used:
Stamps: To You and Yours Too, Cozy Christmas, Happy Scenes
Inks: Versa Mark, Island Indigo, Daffodil Delight, Crushed Curry, Black Memento
Papers: Island Indigo, Whisper White
Accessories: Black embossing powder, 1 3/4" circle punch, Fine tip glue pen, silver cording trim, glue dot, embossing buddy

I missed the linky, so I'll share this card with you.
