Thank You so Much

I am going to try to use one SAB per day for the next week, and today is the start of it.  Two SAB products were used to make this Thank You card - The Sheer Perfection Designer Vellum and "Nature's Perfection" stamp set.

The small floral image was stamped with Black Stazon ink and coloured with SU markers.  This Whisper White piece was matted with Tempting Turquoise cardstock.

The base card is Tempting Turquoise, layered with Whisper White over which I placed the same size piece of the designer Vellum.  Prior to attaching the Vellum, the flowers and stems were coloured with markers on the wrong side.

The faux dye technique, as described in a SU video was done on a piece of Whisper White seam  binding using a Tempting Turquoise marker.  I let the ribbon dry overnight before I attached it to the card.

This ribbon and bow were adhered to the lower end of the card, over the Vellum and Whisper White layer.

Once that was complete, the art piece was attached to the upper left of the card using dimensionals.  The sentiment, from "Another Thank You" was stamped directly on the Vellum using Stazon ink.

To complete the card, a small butterfly from "Papillon Potpourri" was stamped on a vellum remnant piece and coloured on the wrong side with markers.  When dry, the butterfly was cut out and adhered to the image panel with a glue dot.

Thanks - Create with Connie & Mary #343

BRRR!!! It sure is cold here!  Minus 33 C over night and the high today is only going to be minus 25C.  Plus we're expecting more snow tomorrow!  Thank goodness my son shovels the driveway for me or I don't know what I would do.

Today I'm making a card for the Create with Connie & Mary sketch challenge here

I've been wanting to use some of the SAB Irrisibly Yours DSP for some time now, and with this sketch I could do it.  I stamped a butterfly from the "Papillion Potpourri" stamp set randomly on a piece of this cardstock using Memento ink.  Then I blotted most of it off before applying the colour.  For some reason I felt like the colour blue today.  When I applied the Marina Mist, and wiped off the excess it looked like the butterflies were flying behind the leaves.

At the bottom I placed a piece of Whisper White cardstock at an angle, and attached the sentiment "Thanks" from the "Hello You" thinlet die.  This I die cut in black to pick up the colour of the butterflies in the background.

A piece of Whisper White satin ribbon separated the two papers.

Three Daffodil Delight flowers were punch using the Itty Bitty flower punch from the Itty Bitty Occasions pack.  They were attached to the card above the ribbon on the left side, and large rhinestones placed in the middle.

I punched 2 more flowers and placed them around the sentiment.  Another butterfly was also stamped, punched using the butterfly punch and added above the sentiment.  It was touched up with a bit of Marina Mist blue using a marker.

Papillon Potpourri Thanks - Try Stampin' on Tuesday #120

Well it's not a very nice day to be working outside today.  It's much cooler than I thought it was going to be.  Yesterday was so lovely I spent most of the day out in the garden.
I now have most of my plants in the ground.  My plant sale was on the weekend and it was very successful.  All proceeds went back into the garden.  The only thing I have left to do is create a little vegetable garden.

This card is for the challenge with Try Stampin' on Tuesday here

The base of this A2 card is Raspberry Ripple layered with Crumb Cake card stock.  Down the middle is a strip of DSP from the Print Poetry designer pack.  On both long ends I attached a piece of scalloped raspberry Ripple die cut with the Tasteful Trim die.  The sentiment was stamped using Black Stazon ink.

On the focal image panel, which is Whisper White, I first stamped a swirl image from Everything Eleanor in Old Olive, stamping off once so the colour wouldn't be so strong.  Then I embossed 3 butterflies from the Papillion Potpourri with black embossing powder on Vellum.  They were coloured using SU markers and then cut out.  They were placed on the image panel using glue dots, and then the panel was matted with Old Olive card stock and adhered to the card using dimensionals.
Some rhinestones on the butterfly provided some much needed bling.

For the flower embellishments, I again embossed 4 flowers from the Everything Eleanor stamp set, using black embossing powder, on vellum paper.  These I coloured with markers on the wrong side, and cut 2 of them out.  The centers of the other 2 were then cut out and adhered to the flowers using a dimensional.  Then I placed a rhinestone in the center of each flower and attached them to the card.

Here's a summary of the stamps/materials used:

Stamps: Everything Eleanor, Papillion Potpourri, One in a million
Inks: Versa Mark, Black Stazon, SU markers (Tangerine Tango, Tempting Turquoise, Daffodil Delight, Early Espresso) Old Olive
Papers: Raspberry Ripple, Crumb Cake, Whisper White, Old Olive, Vellum, Print Poetry DSP
Accessories: Black Embossing powder, rhinestones, dimensionals, Tasteful Trim die.
