Gift Baskets for Craft Show

I made 4 gift baskets for a craft show on May 2 at the Peterborough Publich Library.  I used the Berry Basket die to make the baskets and I put the lining on the outside, using the Painted Blooms  DSP.  Each basket uses a different pattern from that design pack, and all the contents that I made use the coordinating paper and the Painted Petals stamp set.  I only made 4 because they are very labour intensive and each basket and contents takes a long time to do.

For each of the baskets I made a multi layer flower using the colours of the DSP on the basket.  I used a combination of 2 dies:  The  Flower Frenzy die and the Bouquet Builder die.  This was attached at the base of one of the handles.

Contents include:  Post it Note holder with pen, Wine Tag, Note card in Envelope, Gift card/note holder, and a magnetic frig holder plus another small gift.  The baskets don't hold as much as I thought.

Once finished, each basket was wrapped in clear cello wrap, and a coffee filter rose was adhered to the top.  Then a die cut butterfly with a large rhinestone on it was adhered to the rose.

A tag, made using the Banners framelits, again with a coordinating DSP piece on it, was attached to the outside of the basket.

Now to start making some more items to sell.

Any local followers, come and see me at the Library.

Box Stand Fun Fold Card

I saw this Box Stand Fun Fold card on Pinterest.  Dawn Olechefske had recently released a video outlining this fun fold, which is an updated version of the stand along pop up card.  This video is very well explained and she gives numerous examples of how this fold can be used for different occasions.

After watching the video, I decided to make this fun fold card, using Painted Petals as my stamp set, and Painted Blooms DSP.  It was very easy to do, and I intend to make more of them.

In the video, Dawn explains very well the size of cardstock needed, how to made the slit for the art piece, and the score lines for the box, as well as how to put the fun fold card together.

Happy Mother's Day The Paper Players #236

The challenge with the Paper Players this week is to make a Clean and Simple: Floral card.  I made a Mother's Day card.

I just love the stamp set "Painted Petals" and I don't use it nearly enough.  It was perfect for this CAS Mother's Day card.

The sentiment, from "Sweeet Laughter" was stamped first on a piece of Whisper White cardstock.  Then I stamped the flower - the stem and leaves with Wild Wasabit in, and the roses with Rose Red ink.  A butterfly, punched with the Itty Butterfly punch was adhered with a glue dot over the end of the sentiment.  Tiny pearls were placed on the body.

The Whisper White cardstock was matted with Rose Red cardstock, then a  small piece of melon mambo ribbon was attached at an angle on the upper right corner.

The base card is Rose Red cardstock, layered with Whisper White, and a strip of Painted Blooms DSP was attached in the middle.

The focal panel was attached to the card using dimensionals.

Double Dutch Fold Card using Painted Petals - a Thank You card

This card was made for a challenge with another Yahoo group I belong to.  The challenge was to make a Double Dutch Fold  card.  Because I hadn't made one for a while, I used a tutorial by splitcoast stampers

I used the stamp set "Painted Petals" for this card, and it turned out to be a perfect choice.  I just love how it turned out.

The stems were stamped with Wild Wasabi ink, and the Roses with Rose Red, then the image was die cut using the Ovals framelits.  A larger Labels framelit was die cut using Rose Red cardstock and it became the mat to the oval.
Both the oval and the Framelit were pierced around the edges using Paper Piercing templates - the Oval using the Occasions template, and the Label using the Festive template.  The two were adhered together using dimensionals.

The main card is Whisper White cardstock.  The top flap was first matted with Rose Red cardstock and then with Whisper White, which was embossed with the Large Polka dot embossing folder.  Rose Red seam binding was adhered near the top and a bow added with a glue dot.

The die cut unit was adhered to the top flap by the top half only.

On the doors, smaller images of the stem and rose was stamped several times and little leaves added.  At the bottom was a row of dots stamped with Rose Red ink.

On the inside, Whisper White was again matted with Red Rose cardstock.  The image of the Rose and stem was stamped in the lower right hand corner.  The  Bitty butterfly punch was used to punch the butterfly.

Thank you - Technostamper #354

It's much too cold to be going out today, so I pretty well stayed in and started planning for my next craft show which is next week.
I also made some cards for some card challenges, something I haven't done for a while.  This card is for the Technostamper Monday Lunchtime Challenge here

For this card I created a background using the Bokeh technique The reinkers used were the colours of SAB - Coastal Cabana, Calypso Coral and Daffodil Delight.  I also used the Best Year Ever SAB DSP.

After creating the background, a trip of DSP was added at the bottom, and a piece of Coastal Cabana ribbon, part of the SAB Best Year Ever Accessory pack was attached over the seam.

At the top, 2 banners were created.  One in daffodil delight, and the second in vellum, with the sentiment "Thank You" from the "Painted Petal" stamp set.

I then added some bling, by randomly gluing the In Color Sequin embellishments on the card.

Thank You - Another Confetti Card

Here's another confetti card, although this time I used vellum to contain the confetti I made.

I used the stamp set "Painted Petals" and the DSP by the same name.

In the side view you can see the confetti below the vellum.
