Sheltering Tree - a Sympathy card

The Sheltering Tree stamp set is used as a backdrop to showcase another stamp set that is being discontinued "Love & Sympathy", and use an embossing folder that already is retired.  Again, this will be a class card.

The card base is Blushing Bride, layered with Whisper White embossed with the Stripes Embossing folder.

The image panel consists of a Whisper White piece matted with Blushing Bride.

On the Whisper White piece, the tree is stamped with Chocolate Chip ink, and Blushing Bride is used for the blossoms.  This I stamped twice - first directly on the tree, then I lifted the stamp off the paper, turned it 1/4 of a degree and stamped again.  The blossoms look fuller that way.  I also had some blossoms falling off the tree as well.

A 1/4" piece of Blushing Bride ribbon was adhered to the bottom of the Whisper White piece.  I added the ribbon after attaching the sentiment.  The image piece was matted with Blushing Bride cardstock and adhered to the card front using dimensionals.

The sentiment is from "Love & Sympathy", a stamp that is about to retire.  It was stamped with Chocolate Chip ink, and die cut using the Labels Framelits (also about to retire).  The edges of the framelit were sponged with Blushing Bride ink. and the framelit adhered to the lower right card using dimensionals.

A bow was now added to the lower right side.

Love and Sympathy - Friday Mashup #21

It's been a few days since I posted.  I've been going through a tough time.  First I had complications from my foot surgery.  An infection set in and has me generally feeling "blah".  Then I heard that the husband of a friend and a customer of mine had died.
So I took the opportunity today to use the 'bossy and sketchy' challenge here with the Friday Mashup to make a sympathy card and send it off to her.
What's the 'bossy and sketchy' about?  The 'sketchy' is to make a card using the sketch challenge; the 'bossy' means to include some dry embossing on the card.
