Harvest Blessing Birthday - Create with Connie & Mary#233

I needed a masculine birthday card for a friend of mine.  Plus I wanted to try a new technique using Versa Mark ink and chalks.
I used the sketch challenge with CCM here

2012 Create Thursday-013

I turned the sketch on its side to make this card

Stamps:  Harvest Blessings, Bring on the Cake, Button, Button
Inks: Versa Mark, Stampin' Pastels, Early Espresso
Papers: Old Olive, Old Olive polka dot DSP, Whisper White
Accessories: Argyle folder, silver soda pop tops (flattened using the Big Shot), green/white Baker's twine, 1/2" circle punch, stamp-a-ma-jig

Technique:
  1. Stamp image with Versa Mark
  2. Color image with select colors of Stampin' Pastel using a Q-tip
  3. Using the stamp-a-ma-jig match up the images and stamp over the colored image with Early Espresso

Harvest Tractor - Sketch Frenzy Friday

It's Friday, and time for Sketch Frenzy Friday.  There's been a bit of a change in format.  No longer is this a blog hop.  All sample cards can be seen on the Sketch Frenzy Friday homepage.
Since Thanksgiving is only a couple of weeks away, I thought I would make a masculine card that could be for Thanksgiving or any other occasion.  I did not put a sentiment on the outside for that very reason.
Today's sketch is mine.

09/28/12 Maria

Technique:  The base card of Cajun Craze is layered with Very Vanilla cardstock embossed with the Chevron folder which has been inked lightly with Early Espresso ink.
The image was stamped with Early Espresso ink, and lightly colored with markers and an Aqua painter.  I deliberately wanted to blur some of the color to make the tractor look old.
The labels framelit was used to die cut the image, the outlines of which were sponged with Early Espresso ink.
A strip of Orchard harvest designer paper was adhered down the middle of the Chevron embossed Very Vanilla layer, and the image was adhered to this using dimensionals.

Stamp: Harvest Blessings
Inks: Early Espresso, SU markers
Papers: Cajun Craze, Very Vanilla, Whisper White, Orchard Harvest designer paper
Accessories: Aqua painter, Labels framelit, Chevron folder, dimensionals

Now its your turn to create something using my sketch.  Upload it to the SFF homepage here

Harvest Blessings - Paper Craft Crew Challenges #8

Today is a bright sunny day, but a bit on the chilly side.  We've already had a bit of frost, but not a 'killing' frost.
This card is based on the sketch on the Paper Craft Crew Challenges #8 here

Card Sketch #8

Technique:
The Raspberry Ripple card base is matted with Crumb Cake upon which was stamped the image of a tractor using Crumb Cake ink.  A strip of Orchard Harvest designer paper was adhered to the bottom of the Crumb Cake after attaching a scalloped strip of Raspberry Ripple card stock.  A piece of Gumball Green stitched satin ribbon was attached over the seam between the designer paper and the scalloped strip.
The image was stamped in Black Stazon on Very Vanilla card stock, and colored with markers and an Aqua brush.  Some Crystal Effects was applied to the pumpkins and apples to make them more 3D.  It was die cut using the Apothecarry accessory framelits and adhered to a Labels framelit die in Raspberry Ripple.  Some pricking was done around the image and along 2 sides of the Label framelit die.  Dimensionals were used to attached to image to the card front.
Three apples were cut from the designer paper, covered with crystal effects and adhered to the left side of the card with a glue dot.

Stamps: Harvest Blessing, Teeny Tiny wishes
Inks: Black Stazon, SU markers, Basic Black
Papers: Raspberry Ripple, Crumb Cake, Very Vanilla, Orchard Harvest designer paper
Accessories: Apothecary accessories framelits, Labels framelits, mat pack & paper piercer, 1/4" Gumball Green stitched satin ribbon, Word Window punch, Crystal Effects, Aqua painter, dimensionals.
