Thinking of You - Happy Home - PalsPaper Arts #284

I was intrigued by the sketch challenge with Pals Paper Arts  this week and in my head tried various stamps, but finally settled on Happy Home.

PPA-284-Jan21

  • The base cardstock is Old Olive, layered with Whisper White and then Field of Flowers (SAB) DSP.
  • On a separate piece of paper, the image from Happy Home was stamped with Black Memento, and coloured with blender pen and ink pads.  The sky was given a light touch of Marina Mist, and the ground Old Olive.  Circle framelits were used to die cut the image into a circle.
  • Before adhering the circle image, I piece of clear vellum was cut into the shap of the fold over.  The vellum was embossed with the Decorative dots embossing folder and the back lightly sponged with Pink Pirouette.  It was then adhered to the card front using vellum tape.

  • The image was  placed half way under the vellum and adhered to the card front.

  • The sentiment is from "Sheltering Tree".
  • Clear Wink of Stella was applied to the trees, and to the dots on the embossed vellum.
  • All edges were sponged with Old Olive ink.

Happy Home Card #2

This is the second card made using the stamp set "Happy Home" and the Hearth & Home Framelit.  The stamp set will be available in January.  The scene in this second card reflects a spring sky and a lonely bench can be seen on the horizon.

For the scene behind the window, I stamped the image of the bench and clouds, and then sponged the sky with Marina Mist, Daffodil Delight, and Pink Pirouette.  I painted the clouds with Whisper White ink to make them look whiter.  A small butterfly was punched using Watercolor Wonder cardstock and attached to the top right of the window frame.

On the window sill I made a bouquet of leaves and flowers.  The leaves were punched using the Bird Builder Punch; the flowers using the Blossom Bunch Punch.  In the center of each flower I placed a rhinestone and painted some gold glimmer around it.

The basic card is Old Olive, layered with Whisper White embossed with the Boho embossing folder.  A strip of Old Olive DSP was adhered to the lower half of the card with a piece of white seam binding wrapped around it.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Happy Home
Inks: Black Memento, Marina Mist, Pink PIrouette, Daffodil Delight, Old Olive, Soft Suede, whisper white reinker
Papers: Old Olive, Whisper White, Daffodil Delight, Pink Pirouette, Marina Mist, Watercolor Wonder, Old Olive DSP
Accessories:  White seam binding, Boho embossing dolfer, Bird Builder Punch, Blossom Bunch Punch, Small butterfly punch, rhinestones, gold glitter brush, Hearth and Home Window Frame, dimensionals, glue dots

Happy Home - Thanks

I was so happy to see the Hearth and Home window framelits return in the new Occasions catalogue - with a coordinating stamp with scenes for behind the window.  Ready for another sneak preview for the new Occasions catalogue?

  • Behind the die cut window is a spring scene with pink blossoms on the trees.  Actually its been such a mild winter that the cherry blossoms were blooming in Washington (Dec. 15/15) After placing it behind the die cut window, it was adhered to the card front with dimensionals.
  • The floral image on the sill is from "First Sight" - the flowers from "Happy Home".  Both were hand cut after being stamped.  Rhinestones were plaed in the center of each flower, then I applied some gold Wink of Stella glitter pen.  The blue bird, stamped with Pacific Point, is from "First Sight" and was also hand cut and placed on top of one of the flowers with a glue dot. The sill was also adhered to the frame with dimensionals.
  • The card base is Pink Pirouette, layered with Whisper White, and then Birthday Bouquet DSP.
  • A 1/4" Pink Pirouette ribbon was wrapped around the card and tied into a knot.
  • Tip:  with a craft knife and the card in the open position, make a small slit in the seam.  Make sure there is a hard surface under the card.
Cut the end of the ribbon to be inserted into a sharp angle and insert in this slot.

Wrap the ribbon around the card on the inside, bringing it forward to the front and tie it into a bow or a knot.

The sentiment is from "Cottage Greetings"
