Poinsettia Wreath

This is a wreath I made for my craft sale this weekend.  I had found this wreath in a thrift store a while a go, and I was just waiting for the right moment to make something with it.  Today was the day.

I love making flowers- and using punches to make them.

Some time ago I bought this wreath in a thrift store, and the pine cones on a walk by the canal. Today I made some poinsettias using the festive flower builder punch, and attached them to the wreath using a hot glue gun. Some pine branches, added among the flowers, were die cut with the Pretty Pines thinlet dies.  They added some texture and interest to the wreath.

I'm pleased with the way it turned out, so I will be putting it on my craft table this weekend.

Supplies Used:

.Real Red Cardstock
.Daffodil Delight cardstock
.Garden Green cardstock

Peace Be With You - Paper Craft Crew Challenge #203

My first Christmas card!
I'm only 3 weeks late in starting, but who's counting.!
I used the sketch challenge with the Paper Craft Crew Challenges to make this card.

Paper Craft Crew Card Sketch Challenge 203 #sketch #challengeblog #pcc #papercraftcrew

  • Garden Green card base, layered with Very Vanilla.   The DSP is "This Christmas Speciallty" DSP.
  • A Very Vanilla tag was created using the retired  scallop top tag punch, which was matted with Garden Green cardstock.  On this was attached a Cherry Cobbler Poinsettia flower made using the Festive Flower punch.  The center of the flower is comprised of rolled up small center punchies in Garden Green.  At the top of the top of the tag is attached a silver glimmer snowflake punched with the Snowflake Flurry Punch.  A wooden snowflake embellishment was adhered on top of this snowflake and a bow of linen thread on top of that.
  • Behind the tag is a Cherry Cobbler strip notched at both ends.
  • Sentiment is from "Reason for the Season", stamped with Black Memento onto Very Vanilla  and die cut using the layering circles framelits.  It is matted with a Garden Green circle and attached to the card front using dimensionals
