You Are an Inspiration - Fab Friday #205

For the sketch challenge #204 at Fab Friday, I thought I would feature the Flowers and Field DSP, one of the FREE Sale-a-bration offerings with a $60 purchase.

The use of this SAB DSP was inspired by the little white Daisies looking so cheerful on the black back ground.  They were the inspiration for the Daisy embellishments as well.

Following the sketch, on a Thick Whisper White card stock base was added some Just Jade card stock upon which was added an identical piece of the DSP, only the 2 were off set from each other.

To subdue the somewhat over powering and strong colours of the DSP, I added some Vellum on top of it.

The sentiment, from Dragonfly Garden, was embossed with Black embossing powder on a piece of So Saffron card stock and die cut with a Stitched So Sweetly die. It was adhered to the upper right of the card.

Non SU punches were used to make three daisies and their leaves,  Each daisy consists of 1 whisper white punched flower as well as 2 Old Olive leaves and a small So Saffron circle center.

After adding the Daisies around the sentiment (as well as the bottom left), some Shimmer Crystal Effects was added to provide glitter as well as increased stability.

Supplies Used:
Stamp:  Dragonfly Garden
Ink:  Versa Mark
Papers:  Thick Whisper White, Whisper White, Field and flowers DSP (SAB), Just Jade, So Saffron, Old Olive, Vellum
Accessories: Stitched So Sweetly Die, Black embossing powder, Glimmer Crystal Effects, Dimensionals, 1/4" circle punch, Non SU Punches (daisy, leaves). Dimensionals.

Congratulations on Becoming a Grandma - Fab Fri 13

One thing my customers at craft fairs are always asking me for is a "new grandma" card, so I thought I would use the sketch challenge with Fab Fri here to make such a card.

After  coloring the image with a Lucky Limeade marker, the image of the booties was stamped onto Whisper White cardstock. and then punched out using a 1 3/4" circle punch. The circle was pierced using the mat pack and paper piercer.  It was then matted with a Lucky Limeade Windows Framelit.  The two were adhered together using dimensionals.  Behind the focal image unit, a piece of Sunshine and Sprinkles designer paper was die cut using the Apothecary Accents framelit and attached to the Whisper White layer which had been embossed with the Brochade folder.  Large pearls were adhered at either end of the Apothecary accents die cut.  The banner is the other side of the DSP.

Stamps: Baby Boutique, Cuddles and Kisses
Inks: Black Stazon, Lucky Limeade marker
Papers: Lucky Limeade, Whisper White, Sunshine and Sprinkled DSP
Accessories: Brocade folder, Apothecary Accents Framelit, Windows framelit, Modern Word Label punch, dimensionals, Large pearls.

Glue dots were placed at the back of each mitten and a piece of white Baker's twine was attached to the glue dot.
A 3"Whisper White circle was die cut and paper pierced in 2 layers.  The mittens were attached to this circle using dimensionals.  A cherry cobbler scallop circle was used to mat the circle.
