You Brighten my Day - A Teapot full of Flowers - Stampin' Royalty #335

The challenge with Stampin' Royalty this week is the "Use Your Dies" i.e make a project using our dies.
So, for this challenge, I dug out some recently retired dies, used a current stamp set and created this card.  I was inspired by a card similar to this made by jnbcards, which I saw on Pinterest.

  • The base card is Flirty Flamingo 4/1/4 by 11, folded to make a top fold card.
  • The dies cuts and punchies were built upon the next Whisper White layer which had been embossed with the sparkles embossing folder.
Here are the dies/punches I used:
1.  Cups and kettles framelit dies for the tea pot and lid (Whisper White edges with Flirty Flamingo)
2.  Bouquet XL die for the leaves (garden green cardstock)
3.  Petite Petal Punch to make the flowers which had been stamped with Flirty Flamingo ink.

Stamp sets Used:
1.  Petite Petals
2.  Sunburst Sayings
3.  Wild About Flowers

Accessories:
1.  Wink of Stella gold glimmer brush for center of flowers
2.  Wink of Stella clear glimmer for flower petals and tea pot
3.  1/8" gold taffeta ribbon
4.  Pewter embossing powder
5.  Dimensionals.

Wreath made using Bouquet Die

I found another vine wreath and couldn't resist making another floral and butterfly wreath for my craft show.
I used the Bigz Bouquet Die as well as the Flower Frenzy die which are both now retired - pity.

The flowers were made with Whisper White cardstock the centers of which were sponged with Watermelon Wonder ink.  The centers of the larger flowers were made using Basic Black cardstock; the smaller flowers with Daffodil Delight.  Old Olive was used for the leaves.

The butterflies were die cut using the Butterflies framelits with Whisper White cardstock which was again sponged with the same color ink.  A small wire was hot glued to the back of the butterfly and then attached to the wreath with hot glue.

The ribbon used is the 1 1/4" Watermelon Wonder ribbon looped multiple times.

The hanging tie is Watercolor Wonder thick Baker's twine.

For Being You - a Dahlia Fold Card - a partial CASE

This card was featured on Pinterest, and I immediately thought it would make a wonderful Mother's Day card for my class.  However, 3 of my students do not have their mother anymore, so I changed the sentiment for something more neutral.

It is a partial case from Biggan at splitcoaststampers.  However, I did change a few things around.

I started by punching five 1 3/8" circles, and sponging them with Blushing Bride with the edges Pear Pizzaz.  These I folded into dahlia flowers using this tutorial.  The stem was die cut using Pear Pizzaz cardstock and the Bouquet die.
The stem and flowers were arranged on a Very Vanilla background embossed with the script embossing folder.  This background was matted with Pink Pirouette cardstock and then a 1/4" Pink Pirouette ribbon and bow were adhered to the bottom.
This was adhered to a Sahara Sand layer, which in turn was adhered to a Blushing Bride base card.

The sentiment is "For Being You" (SAB) and was punched using the oval die.  The oval was reinserted back into the punch to reduce its size.  It was also sponged with Blushing Bride and Pear Pizzaz.

I also used the script embossing folder (retired) and the Bouquet die.
