Best of Brides - Technostamper #269

Summer has barely started and we're in the middle of a heat wave.  This is the third day that the thermometer has been over 32 degrees C.  Today, with the humidity, it's supposed to feel like 40 degrees!  It's also raining, so you can imagine the humidity levels.

I am doing a craft show on Sunday, and needed some wedding cards.  Black and white is very popular with brides, so I chose that colour scheme.  I used the sketch with TSSC here

 

I started with a Basic Black cardstock base, which I layered with Very Vanilla card stock and then Modern Medley DSP.

Then I used the reverse side of the DSP to make the strip in the lower part of the card.  This was matted with Basic Black cardstock, and a strip of scallopped very vanilla card stock was attached to its lower end.  A piece of 1/8" Black taffeta ribbon was attached to the middle of this strip.

The image was stamped with Versa Mark and embossed with silver embossing powder.  The groom's suit was coloured black, the brides's hair blonde, and small pearls were placed in each flower of her bouquet.  Dazzling details was added to the outline of the dress.

The image panel was matted with black card stock and adhered to the card as shown above, using dimensionals.

Two circles were punched for the embellishment - a 1 1/4" black, and a 1" Very Vanilla.  Three Vanilla flowers were adhered to this circle and dazzling diamonds adhered to the top (using the 2 way glue pen).  This embellishment was attached to the left edge of the image panel in the middle.

Mr & Mrs Wedding card and Coordinating Gift Bag

As I mentioned earlier, my nephew is getting married this Saturday.  Last week I made a mini album for them using designer paper that was very close to what was on their wedding invitation.
Today I made a coordinating gift bag and wedding card- using some of the new clay on both items.

The Gift Bag:

The bag is a Kraft bag.  I put some of the designer paper at the bottom, then a strip of black card stock at the top end.  A piece of white taffeta ribbon was adhered to this black strip, and a bow adhered to it.

I embossed the bride image from the Best of Brides and Babies using silver embossing powder.  This piece of Whisper White was matted with Basic Black card stock, then Whisper White, and then the coordinating designer paper.
On either side I place a large white daisy.  In the center of the daisy I placed a 1 1/4" scallop circle.  With the scissors I snipped between every second scallop and then placed the finished scallop unside down on top of the tombo lid to make it look more like a flower.  The clay flower was coloured using a dauber and Pool Party ink and adhered to the black scallop flower with tombo glue.  The rest of the flower was completed and adhered to the bag using tombo glue.

The tag was made using the Labels framelits.

The Wedding Card:

This is the coordinating wedding card.  I use Basic Black card stock layered with Whisper White which has been embossed with the new Beautifully Baroque folder.
I then die cut 2 hearts using Whisper White card stock, and adhered them to a piece of coordinating designer paper.  At the top left corner are 3 clay flowers, with white leaves punched using the Bird Building punch
The sentiment is from the Label Love stamp set and was punched using the Artisan Label punch

I hope my nephew and his new wife will like everything that I have made.
