This card was made for the challenge at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge #562.
I used some DSP that I had forgotten I had. The colours of the stripes are bold, but then, its a "bold" sort of day.
The Melon Mambo card base is layered with a piece of Basic White embossed with the Distressed Tile embossing folder.
A 3 1/2 by 1 1/2" piece of striped DSP was topped by a single strip of the same DSP This was added to a 3 1/2 by 3 1/2" piece pf polka dot vellum using dimensionals. The vellum was added to the card front using vellum adhesive.
The sentiment, from the Floral Essence stamp set, was stamped with Black Memento ink on Basic White card stock. It was then die cut with a Hippo and Friends die. This was added to the top of the DSP panel using dimensionals. Before attaching it to the card front, I wound some Blushing Bride metallic thread around my two fingers and adhered the 'loops "to the back of the die cut sentiment.
Supplies Used:
Stamp: Floral Essence
Ink: Black Memento
Papers: Melon Mambo, Basic White, Polka Dot Vellum. Rainbow Twirl DSP (by Papercraft)
Accessories: Distressed Tile embossing folder, Hippo & Friends die, Dimensionals, Blushing Bride metallic thread

Lovely rich color that is beautifully set against the textured white. A very effective card. Thank you so much for joining the challenge at Atlantic Hearts.
Very pretty card. I really like the embossed background for some texture and the use of the polka dot vellum as a subtle additional layer. Thanks for joining us at Atlantic Hearts Sketch Challenge.
