This card was a different take on the sketch challenge at Try Stampin' on Tuesday #602. I took some liberties with the sketch, making the larger rectangle in the sketch a transparent window. And through the window was seen a rainbow of colours in the sea.
The background was created by cutting and pasting 3 different patterns of By the Bay DSP . The setting sun was created by punching a 2" circle from Basic White card stock and applying Daffodil Delight ink using a blender brush. Crushed Curry was added around the edges to give it more of a 3D shape. It set between two different pieces of DSP throwing a rainbow of colours on the sea in the foreground. The birds in the sky were from "Grassy Grove". The completed background was adhered to an A2 Night of Navy card base.
The window was created by die cutting 2 different sizes of Stitched Rectangle dies, first in Smokey Slate card stock, and then Soft Suede. A piece of window sheet was added behind the frames. It was added to the card front using foam strips.
The image, from "In the Moment" stamp set was coloured with Stampin' Blends and then fussy cut and adhered to the window sheet
Flat adhesive backed pearls added to the upper right of the card finished the card.
