Slim Line cards are probably my most favourite type of card to make as there is so much more 'canvas' to create on.
The card I am sharing today is a Slim Line card featuring the snowman from Snow Wonder in a scene created by sponging using the Stampin' Up blending brushes. I also bring in another stamp set, "Campology", using the tree stamp for the background.
There are many sizes for slim line cards. I start with a piece of cardstock 9 by 7" scoring a 3 1/2" to form a 3 1/2 by 9" card. The Basic White card stock layer of 3 1/4 by 8 3/4"is a good size canvas to create a scene on.I wanted to create a feeling of a moon lite cold wintery night, perfect for the preservation of a snowman.
To do this I punched a 1 3/4" circle mask from a post it note and placed that in the upper right of the art piece. This would be the future moon, the mask protecting it from the colour that would be applied to the sky.
Using a blender brush, the following colours were used to create the sky: Balmy Blue, Misty Moonlight, Pacific Point, and Night of Navy. .After removing the mask covering the moon. some darker ink was added round it to create a more dimensional effect.
Once the sky was finished, the trees from the Campology stamp set, was stamped in Evening Evergreen ink.
