There are so many wonderful SAB products this year. Not only are they wonderful, they are a first for second SAB in one year.
Up until now, SAB has occurred only in the winter but Stampin' Up decided to add another SAB in late summer.
One of the free products from this second SAB is the Beautifully Penned 12 by 12" DSP. These 12 sheets of DSP had various designs in Black and white.
Here's one card I made using this DSP
Before adhering this layer to the card base I added some Fresh Freesia Organza ribbon near the bottom.
On top of the ribbon I added a 1 1/2" strip of this lovely DSP, which was matted on each of the long sides with Fresh Freesia card stock die cut using the Basic Border dies. The flowers on this Black/white DSP were coloured with Fresh Freesia and Soft Succulent Stampin' Blends.
I did not add a sentiment, preferring to do this when I needed a card for a specific occasion.
The second card below depicts 2 different patterns - the bottom pattern is the reverse of the pattern above and uses Polished Pink as an accent colour.
To hide the seam between the two patterns I add a Basic White strip with a die cut Polished Pink (Basic Border ) die cut adhered to the bottom. 3/8" Polished Pink Organza ribbon and bow is added on top of that.
The embellishment is fussy cut from the DSP, coloured with blends and added to the card front with dimensionals. Some die cut branches left over from another project were added around the flower.
