Since Stampin' Up does not make "Clear Mount" stamps any more (they are referred to a Clear because they are mounted on clear blocks for stamping). They have been replaced with "Cling Mount" stamps, stamps that look the same, but are different in that the surface of the stamp is very 'sticky' and they 'cling' to the stamping block.
One of the problems with the clear mount stamps in that the surface was not sticky enough and they did not adhere well to the clear blocks. They had an unfortunate habit of falling off the block right onto a project. In order to use the stamps, the image was not put on the stamp, or if the image was put on, an adhesive was applied to the stamp e.g. tombo.
To address this problem Stampin' Up introduced an adhesive called "Cling Adhesive" . By using this adhesive, clear stamps can be converted to cling stamps avoiding these annoying incidents.
I have been asked on numerous occasions on how to apply this adhesive, so I made the video below.
