Tiny Poinsettia flowers with Gold Leaf - Try Stampin' On Tuesday #477

It's been a while since I've participated in any of the challenges with Try Stampin' on Tuesday.  Summer and Fall have been very busy seasons this year.

We've all  used the phrase:  "Where has the summer gone".  I will certainly echo that question and more.  I'm hardly waking up on Monday and its Sunday already.

A series of injuries have forced me to slow down and enjoy each day of the week in a somewhat slower manner.  Today I even spent 2 hours in the garden something I haven't done for a while......

And I made a card for the sketch challenge at Try Stampin' on Tuesday #477 here

Please note that it was difficult to get a well focused picture of my card because of all the shiny elements on the card.

The card base of Sahara Sand card stock is layered with Cherry Cobbler and then a woodgrain pattern of the Poinsettia Place DSP.
Across the upper part of the card is added a 1 3/4" strip of the new Christmas DSP with 1/8" of red metallic edged ribbon on the top and bottom edges.
The art piece is added to this.
The main art piece is a piece of Sahara Sand card stock embossed with the Texture embossing folder. To this is adhered a delicate gold leaf from the Laser specialty gold DSP.  At the base of the leaf is clustered 3 pairs of small poinsettias die cut in red velvet paper.  Each has a gold gem in

the center.  Other metallic gems are added to the top right and bottom left of this square.
This embossed piece is added to a piece of gold foil notched at the bottom edge. Before adding some cherry cobbler card stock to the upper portion, some gold trim is wound around it several times and then tied into a bow.
Dimensionals are used to adhere this piece to the card front.
The sentiment, from the same stamp set, is gold embossed on Sahara Sand, matted with red velvet and added below the art piece.

Supplies Used:
