Vibrant Vases Thanks - Fab Friday #165

I love placing fresh flowers in a vase and then bringing them indoors.  It's a way of bringing the garden inside.

The sketch with Fab Friday #165 reminded me of the blank slate my garden used to be before I filled it with flowers - so I filled this sketch with flowers.

On a 4 by 3" piece of Whisper White card stock three vases were stamped and filled with flowers and then coloured with Stampin' Blends.  After matting it with Crumb Cake card stock, a piece of Sahara Sand Woven Threads Trim was added to the lower end on top of the art piece rather than below it. It seemed a perfect way to complete the sketch - it was like the vases were sitting on a fringed table cloth and show off the trim at the same time.  The bottom of this trim was snipped of  converting this trim to a tassle.

The card base is Whisper White card stock layered with Crumb Cake which was embossed with the new Bubble and Baubles Embossing Folder.  The matted art piece was added to the card front using dimensionals.

The sentiment, from the Vibrant Vase stamp set, was stamped after isolating the one word I wanted by placing tape over the words I did not want.

Supplies Used:
Stamp:   Vibrant Vases
Inks:  Black Memento, Stampin Blends (Combo Daffodil Delight, Granny Apple Green, Crumb Cake, Light Soft Suede)
Papers:  Whisper White, Crumb Cake
Accessories:  5/8" Sahara Sand Woven Thread Trim, Dimensionals.

So elegant, Maria - what a fun way to use that trim - it does indeed look like a tablecloth edge! Thanks so much for playing at Fab Friday!

I like you made the vases and flowers bold with the black but also soft with the light coloring! The fringe is a great stand in for our sketch's scallop element! Thanks for sharing at Fab Friday!
