Valentine Shadow Box - Hand Stamped Sentiments #307

Valentine's Day is just a few short weeks away, and for this occasion I made a Valentine Shadow Box which I will be submitting it to the Hand Stamped Inspiration Challenge here.

It is also a project we will be doing in class this week

This project costs just a few dollars to make.  The frame is from the dollar store and the loose roses I found in a thrift shop. The DSP adhered to the back of the frame is retired DSP from a few years ago and is perfect for this project.

I used the Layering Hearts framelits to die cut a heart is Glitter paper; the smaller 3D hearts in the middle of this was die cut from some pages of an old book.  Eight of these hearts were stapled together in the center only and after the edges were sponged with Real Red ink they were 'fluffed' up and adhered to the center of  the glitter heart.

1 1/2" pieces of Styrofoam were hot glued together to form the frame for the shadow box, the flowers etc placed inside and the back hot glued to the Styrofoam frame.

I will do a tutorial on how to make a shadow box using a dollar store photo frame.
