Love is a Warm Cup of Tea

BRRR!! That wind was cold today.  Blowing at up to 70 km per hour accompanied with a wind chill factor of minus 23 degrees Celsius, this wind brings tears to your eyes and freezes your cheeks in a matter of minutes.

On a day like this, a warm cup of tea is welcome.

The tea cup from "Tea Time" was stamped on a separate piece of Whisper White card stock and coloured with watercolour pencils and a blender pen, after which it was die cut using the Tea Time framelits. These framelits are FREE with a $120 order and the coordinating stamp set is purchased separately from the Annual catalogue. The tea cup is adhered to a Whisper White card front embossed with the Petals embossing folder.  Also added to the card front is some organza ribbon coloured to match the colour of the card base which is Melon Mambo.

Eight flowers and 5 rosebuds were also stamped separately and coloured with watercolour pencils and a blender pen.  After they were die cut, four of the flowers were arranged on top of the cup, with the rose buds poking their heads above the flowers.  After they were positioned in place Dazzling Diamonds were added to each bloom.

I wanted to make the tea cup look like delicate china and to do that I applied some 3D lacquer to the cup and saucer.

Two other flowers were placed in the lower left and upper right corners with the remaining two reserved for the inside.

A one inch circle punch was used to punch the sentiment, which was layered with a 1 1/4 scallop circle punchie in Melon Mambo.
