Over the years she has received many kinds of gifts from parents/students, but her most favourite gift- gift cards.
So, for the challenge with SUO I expanded on the gift card concept and designed an easel post it note, calendar and gift card holder. There is a plethora of easel post it notes on Pinterest so I took parts of 3 designs I liked and made my own unique teacher gift - and I didn't forget the male teacher. It was made the same way but I used different DSP and stamps.
This gift is made entirely from one piece of 8 1/2 by 11" card stock. It consists of 3 parts - a box in the front for the post it note and pen (this is attached to an easel component), the calendar which is mounted on the front of the box, and a holder for the gift card on the back of the easel component.

Gift Card Holder
Easel component: Score a 3 3/4 by 10 1/2" piece of (Mint Macaron) card stock at 4, 8, 9, and 10 (on the 10 1/2" side). Form into an easel card and round the corners with a corner rounder punch.
Box: Score a 7 by 4 3/4" piece of Mint Macaron card stock at 4 and 4 1/2 (on the 7" side), and 1/2" on both the long sides. Make tabs between the 4 and 4 1/2" scores, and form into a box.
Round corners at longer part of box.
Add a 3 3/4 by 3 1/2" DSP (Love What You Do) on what will be the inside. Round upper corners before adhering to card stock
Add box to easel component.
Add a 3 1/2 by 2 1/4" piece of DSP to the box front, and add calendar. Insert Post it Note and a small gel pen in this box.
I decorated the post it note before putting it in the box by covering it with a 3 by 6 1/4" piece of card stock scored at 3 and 3 1/4". On the front , a 2 3/4 by 2 3/4" piece of Whisper White card stock is embossed with the layered leaves embossing folder. A piece of retired ribbon is placed on the left side, and adhere some flowers fussy cut from the Love What You Do DSP. The sentiment, from one of the Paper Pumpkin stamps, is stamped on a piece of Mint Macaron card stock and added at an angle at the lower part of the front.
Post it Note
Gift Card Holder: On the back of the Easel component I adhere a gift card holder. To make the holder, I took a 2 1/2 by 4 1/2" piece of DSP and scored it 1/2" on both sides and the bottom, snipped out the corners, folded on the score lines and adhered to the back. Before doing so, I took a 1" circle punch and snipped a tab in the top.
The sentiment is from "Hand Delivered"
Here is what the gift looks like for the male teacher:
After the gift is wrapped I made a tag to attach to it. Again, I used the Hand Delivered stamp set and colored the image with watercolor pencils and a blender pen as well as blendabilities.
