Painted Harvest Birthday - Try Stampin' or Not on Tuesday #335

The theme with Dawn's sketch at Try Stampin' or Not on Tuesday #335 is embossing.  I've been playing quite a bit with Stampin' Up's new Embossing Paste, so I incorporated that into my design team card for this week's challenge.

Would you believe the top flower is cut directly out of the Painted Autumn Harvest DSP?  The flower below was stamped with Crushed Curry using the Painted Harvest Stamp set and fussy cut.
Before adhering the two layers together I clear embossed both and adhered some gold metallic thread between the layers.  A gold faceted gem was placed in the middle of the Sunflower.

Since embossing  is the optional theme for this sketch, I thought I would apply some coloured Embossing paste (coloured with Crumb Cake reinker) on a 3 3/4 by 5 piece Very Vanilla  cardstock using the Playful Decorative Mask from Stampin' Up.  I applied it only in 2 areas as I wanted to stamp the leaves for the Sunflower directly onto the background in between.

Before adding the flower, I adhered some 5/8" Burlap ribbon near the top, and stamped two leaves using Garden Green ink below and in the middle of the art piece.

The sentiment is from "Special Celebrations"
