Dragonflies in Purple

This card was a special request from a student I tutor.
Her request:  a dragonfly and the colour purple.

The stamp set I chose for this is "Awesomely Artistic", and this is the card I came up with.  I had made a card similar to this in the past, but it had 3 dragon flies on it and I used different DSP.

Layering Squares Framelits were used to die cut 2"  Whisper white squares.  The Elegant Eggplant mats for these squares were also die cut using these framelits, only 1/8" size larger.

The edges of the Whisper White squares were sponged with Elegant Eggplant ink; darker around the edges, and lighter towards the middle.

The dragonfly from " Awesome Artistic" was stamped in different directions on each square. The stamped square is then matted with the Elegant Eggplant cardstock.

The basic cardstock is Elegant Eggplant matted with Whisper White cardstock, and then a retired DSP with white embossing in it was added.  This DSP was sponged with Elegant eggplant ink, again, sponging the heaviest at the outside edges.

After the image squares were added to the card front with dimensionals some dazzling details was applied to the wings and allowed to dry.

Before adding the squares, a piece of 1/4" white cotton ribbon was added to the card front, with  a bow added to the right side.

The sentiment is from the same stamp set.

Supplies Used:
Stamp: Awesomely Artistic
Ink: Elegant Eggplant
Paper: Elegant Eggplant, Whisper White, DSP with white embossing (retired)
Accessories: Layering square framelits, dazzling details, dimensionals, 1/4" white cotton ribbon.
