The last weekend of the summer! How time has flown by! Already a lot of the trees have changed colour. I heard on the news that the trees in Algonquin Park have already turned 50%.
The days continue to be sunny but cool. Last night there was frost on the windows of the cars and in some areas I have seen frost damage to plants in planters. I must bring my geraniums in soon.
Christmas, and my craft shows draw ever nearer. I spend my days in the craft room or in the pool at the YMCA doing exercises for my painful back (I have a herniated disc). The pain keeps me awake most of the night so I get very little sleep. Thank goodness I have my craft to keep me distracted!
So, today more Christmas cards. I'm tackling the stamp set "Visions of Santa"
Santa is gradually growing on me, but I'm too much of a traditionalist to really like him. I suppose he is comical in a way and some people will see the humour of him - well I hope so as these cards are going to be part of my craft show cards.
This is the first of two cards.
The image was stamped with memento ink onto Whisper White cardstock and punched with the Angled Tag Topper tag punch. I placed a strip of snowflake designer paper at the bottom of the tag. Blendabilities were used to do the colouring, and the tag placed on a piece of designer paper from the Trim the Tree DSP pack.
Stamp: Visions of Santa
Inks: Memento, Blendabilities, Basic Black
Papers: Real Red, Whisper White, Trim the Tree DSP pack, Nordic Noel DSP, silver glimmer paper
Accssories: Decorative dots embossing folder, scallop border punch, Angled Tag Topper tag punch, Real Red cotton ribbon, small star punch
