Happy Boot Day - Technostamper Sketch Challenge #260

What a disturbing week it has been!  The events in Boston, the explosion in Texas, the earthquake in China, and yesterday, word of an arrest of 2 terrorists about to do harm to people on Canadian soil!  Honestly, it makes a person feel vulnerable!

This card is for the Monday Lunchtime Technostamper Sketch Challenge here.

I started by stamping 2 boots on a scrap piece of Whisper White paper using Black Stazon ink.  The boots were coloured with a Baja Breeze marker, and then covered with Crystal Effects.  While they were drying, I assembled the rest of the card.

The base of this A2 card is Baja Breeze card stock, layered with Whisper White, and then Sunshine and Sprinkles DSP.  I then took a strip of another pattern from the same DSP, matted it with Marina Mist card stock, and attached it to the card near the right border.

A rectangle was made using Whisper White card stock, matted with Marina Mist.  Once the boots were dried, I cut them out and attached them to the Whisper White surface using dimensionals.
This unit was attached to the lower card using dimensionals.

The sentiment was punched with a 1 3/4 by 7/8" oval punch and mounted on a Marina Mist Modern Word Label punch.  This was adhered to the card above the focal image centered on the strip of DSP.

Here's a summary of the stamps/materials used:

Stamp: Bootiful Occasions
Inks: Black Stazon, Baja Breeze marker
Papers: Baja breeze, Whisper White, Marina Mist, Sunshine & Sprinkles DSP
Accessories: Crystal Effects, 1 3/4 by 7/8" oval punch, Modern Word Label punch, dimensionals.

Hope you enjoyed the card.  Thanks for stopping by.

So fun! Love how the boots like like real rubber boots. Great job, thanks so much for playing along with my sketch challenge this week!
