Chickadee Season's Greetings - Sketch Frenzy Friday

It's been an eventful week.  First a large beetle in the house scared my son half to death as it landed on him when he was watching television.  My cat saved the day by locating it so that I could get rid of it.
Then a bat in the living room (see earlier post) - and again my cat saved the day.
Yesterday I finally found a home for my abandoned outdoor kitten.  She was so sweet and lovable I hated to see her go, but I feared a pregnancy for her and the heat has been something else.
Today it's Friday, and time for another mini blog hop with Sketch Frenzy Friday.  Hope you can join us.
Today's sketch is mine.

 07/20/12 Maria

I started by cutting a large paper doily using Whisper White card stock and painting it with Champagne shimmer paint.  While it was drying, the image of the chickadee was stamped with Early Espresso ink on Very Vanilla card stock, and punched with the 2 1/2" punch.  It was matted with a 3" Early Espresso circle, but before matting, the new paper piercing pack was used to paper pierce the image circle.  This matted image was attached to the doily.
The rest of the card was prepared as in the picture above.

Stamps: Beautiful Season, More Merry Messages
Inks: Early Espresso
Papers: Early Espresso, Very Vanilla, Whisper White, Candlelight Christmas designer paper
Accessories: 2 1/2" punch, Large Paper doily die, Decorative label punch, 1/4" Early espresso grosgrain ribbon, Fancy fan embossing folder, neutrals brads, Cherry cobbler dazzling details, Champagne shimmer paint, Paper piercing pack, pearls.

Now its your turn to create something using my sketch.  When finished upload it to the Sketch Frenzy Friday home page here
Don't forget, because this is a mini blog hop, to visit the blogs of the other team members to see their interpretation of the sketch - and don't forget to leave comments.
Your next stop is Patrice's blog: here

Stay well, keep cool, and I'll see you next week.
