On Board 4 You - Try Stampin' on Tuesday

What a beautiful day to be outside.  The sun was shining, the temperature was wonderfully warm, the birds were visiting my garden - as well as a variety of species of butterflies- and I was right there in the middle of it.  In a couple of weeks I will be having a plant sale - in conjunction with a neighbour's garage sale - so I have been busy splitting my perennials and repotting them.  Actually, it's my son who has been doing the digging - I sat and repotted.  My mind wants to do everything in the garden, but my body says "no" (I call this mind-body disconnect)
Because of my surgery I have to take frequent breaks, and during one of these breaks I made a card for the sketch challenge with Try Stampin' on Tuesday here

Here is the sketch:

The background was created using markers and watercolor paper.  I had made this background a couple of weeks ago and thought it fit in with today's sketch and my theme for it.
The image was stamped with basic black ink and embossed with clear embossing powder.
The watercolor paper was matted with Island Indigo card stock, and Hemp twine wrapped around it.
The sentiment was stamped on a piece of Whisper White card stock and punched out using the Jewelery punch.  It was attached to the Hemp twine.
The main card is 5 by 5" of  Island Indigo Card stock, matted with Whisper White card stock which had been texturized using the Texturz plates and then sponged lightly with Island Indigo ink.
The strips of pattern paper are from the Summer Smooches series.

Here is the complete recipe:
Stamps: Sail Away, Tiny Tags
Inks:  Basic Black, Island Indigo, SU markers to create the background
Papers: Island Indigo, Whisper White, Watercolor, Summer Smooches designer series paper
Accessories: Texturz plate and Big Shot, Jewellrey tag punch,Hemp twine, clear embossing powder

You did a beautiful job with the background. The stamp looks like it was made for that background. it looks like there are clouds swirling around behind the sails
